LEGO Part-Out Calculator
Total BrickLink part-out value, top 10 most valuable parts, and the break-even buy price under which parting out beats holding sealed.
Pick a set above
Type a set number, UPC, ASIN, or name. We'll pull every part's current BrickLink price and tally the break-even.
How this calculation works
Gross part-out valuesums the current BrickLink average price for every piece in the set's official inventory. Coverage is >95% for tracked sets; partially-priced sets are flagged inline.
BrickLink commission is 3% of gross sales for stores. Payment processing reflects a typical 4% PayPal/Stripe cut. The labor + shipping reserve of 10% is a deliberate conservative buffer — parting out a UCS set is dozens of orders spread over weeks, and that work has real cost.
Break-even buy price is the sealed-set price at which net part-out value equals your cost. Buy below this and parting out is profitable as a Plan B. Buy above this and you're relying entirely on the set holding or appreciating.
What this calculator does not do: account for rare-part demand-side liquidity, run break-even alerts when sealed prices cross the threshold, or analyze your full portfolio. Those live in the paid product.
