Ivanlau1999 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Have anyone try to buy two Death Star and use the VIP points to bought something for free and refund the two Death Star so u can get free lego?
Jackson Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I am pretty sure that LEGO will deduct the amount from your VIP account for returns, so you'd be at negative $80 in VIP points.
Mos_Eisley Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 There are shady people who try this all the time. They have multiple VIP cards so they can use one for purchases and one for returns. It doesn't take TLG long to figure it out so they combine the cards and one day the person wonders why they have a negative balance.
Ivanlau1999 Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 I will personally never tried this kind of things Just see how will lego group respond to this kind of situation .
Alcarin Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 WoW peopel figure all ways to scam the system...
Diabolos80 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Either you'll need your receipt, in which case they'll automatically deduct the points, or you'll attempt an exchange with no receipt, which you can only do up to $500. Not exactly a sustainable strategy, especially since a ban is likely in the end. Also, some questions are better left unasked. We don't tolerate shadiness round these parts. Not saying you're shady; just sayin.
CNH1974 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 No doubt, someone trying this more than once on the same card or at the same store would be rumbled pretty quickly and TLG would take the points back and most likely request the freebies are returned as well. I ain't shady, I's a standing in the sun....
Titus Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 My opinion: You could also start stealing small sets from the lego store... same basic idea...
TheDarkness Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Printing alternate bar codes and placing them on the more expensive sets giving them a cheaper point at checkout sounds much more feasible.
