DoNotInsertIntoMouth
I am curious how many people display boxes and fully boxed sets. I displayed my box behind my Delorean because it looks really good. I would think the crawler would be a good one to display as well. What does everyone else do? Grolim
I did the same with my DeLorean. It's the only set I've ever done that with and I have no interest in displaying other boxes along with sets I've built.
MartinP
I do not display the boxes only because I do not have the room to display them.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
I thought more people would be into this. Lol Room is definitely a big thing too. I was really wondering because of these AFA'd sets that sell on Ebay. I wonder how many people are actually buying sets to just display in box. Huskers1236
Sorry, can't say as I really ever display anything with the box. About the only display piece that I've ever had out that wasn't to be played with was 10179.
seapotato
I don't have room to display it, unfortunately. Maybe when I get a Lego room!
Peteparker
I display all of my Action Figure collection MIB, but LEGO sets are much more difficult. Each one takes up a lot of viewing space, and overlaying them doesn't result in as appealing of a display.
Spartikis
"I throw my boxes away" Couldnt find that option so i didnt vote.
Peteparker
That brings me to another question (maybe a different thread?), Does everyone keep the opened boxes? How do they store them? As a lover of packaging, I have a difficult time breaking them down and storing them flat, and I often put the pieces back into ziplocks and back into the original box... Hell, I can't even throw away the ripped poly bags inside my daughter's Friends sets, let alone the actual boxes. The only box I've ever gotten rid of after my dark period is the spare Ninjago game box. It made for an excellent birthday gift box.
Huskers1236
I flatten mine and store them in the basement. My wife would use me for life insurance money if I had a basement full of empty boxes.

I actually did a blog about how having the box improves value later if you ever sell them: http://community.brickpicker.com/blog/28/entry-271-should-i-throw-away-the-box-to-the-set-i-just-opened/ I do throw away the smaller ones. I haven't broke too many down just because I can stuff 5 others in a big box and it works about the same.

TheOrcKing
I eventually build everything of mine to keep so there isn't much of a reason for me to keep the empty cardboard around. I will admit the CUUSOO boxes look great though as well as the Architecture ones and perhaps I'll bend the rules a little when it comes to those (if it ever does). matt1147
I did not save any of my boxes from my childhood collection and regret it. So now I save all my boxes - I flatten them out and save them in those 2XL ziploc bags (even the large ones like Jabba palace slide in fine. The worst boxes to save are actually the smallest sets like battle packs because they don't have the easy to flatten boxes with seals on both ends - I have to use scissors to carefully separate the box at the seams. Those are some great tips. I still feel weird flattening them completely, but trying to store empty boxes is driving me a bit bonkers. They're destined for damage that way for sure. sadowsk1
I do. In particular vintage sets or sets on queue to open.
thetamp
All my boxes are in a closet, and all my built sets are on display in our spare room. I've never displayed a box.
