I went to TRU today with CC and coupon.  Coupon was applied successfully, but no stacking with 10% TRUTH?  That's what the store told me and online help just echoed the same.  Are you all having a different experience?

Did you get 15% or 20%? To get TRUTH, you must say "I'm using my TRU CC & I'd like the 10% discount." Silly, yes...

20% off, and asked multiple times about the extra 10%. He acted like it would happen automatically and when it did not, he said "it must not stack." Their online support said they agreed. I did end up doing the partial pay $1 after I saw it didn't adjust.

Online support or CC support? The extra 10% is from the CC company not TRU...

What's the order if you want to use the following: Coupon, Credit Card, Gift Card, and Reward Pts?   I thought it was in an earlier post, but I'm having trouble finding it.  Thxs.

IIRC, rewards are counted first (which makes then coupons pretty much useless if you are paying most of the balance via rewards).

I believe the earliest post in this thread is the one BA posted though I don't think the order really matters..

Use this. Have them scan it. ( screen will show 20%). Enter rewards number. Say u want to use your cc for extra 10% off, coupon will switch to 25%. ( won't show on screen)

pay withh CC, do partial, present gc. Thank cashier .

Sorry, don't want to clog the thread, but the responses to my questions have been helpful.  If the CC company is responsible for the 10%, then it seems it should always stack.  I definitely mentioned it prior to payment, so I may return to the store to get it adjusted.  Can you confirm that the adjustment happens at the register and not on your statement?

The support I contacted was through TRU.com so perhaps they were just guessing.  This is also the store that is closest to my house which I believe to be the least reliable in our entire metro area.  I may have to drive a bit farther next Thursday to identify a more reliable option.

Thank you for your help.

The adjustment does not happen on your statement unless they gave you a separate adjustment receipt...

The issues at the store level happen to some more often than others. If you go back to the store, more than likely, it will become a return and repurchase. I would be careful to raise any flags without a hard coupon. The store closest to me, acts like they're doing me a favor to allow me to shop there so I just accept whatever happens and move on...

Fair enough and I appreciate you mentioning your thoughts in the second paragraph.  No one has balked at the .jpg coupon (multiple uses including two online orders via in-store personnel) and I don't care to be the one raising flags, so I will happily accept 20% off of a Slave I and move on.  I can appreciate the differences in stores as two of them near me seem to bend over backwards to help in any way they can while the one closest to my house has never gone out of their way to help anyone.

For those of you that don't get the 10% to stack with your coupon just call: 855-389-2359 and the polite CS person at Synchrony Bank will help you out.

TRU CS will suggest you go back to TRU and take care of it at the CS desk, which is an option, but a pain.

With the last rounds of the 20% coupon, I didn't have an issue with them giving me the 10% TRUTH. But I did notice the 20% was taken off of the original RRP, then the 10% was taken off of that reducded price.

So it is a 20% then 10%, not a 20% +10% to get 30% off. Which isn't big money, with my Slave 1 it was a difference of $4.

It's always been that way.  In one of my spreadsheets, I have a little part dedicated to calculating the final price of a product.  It's got lines for discounts and % off.  I just put in the numbers for any that I want to use and it tells me what the final price is.  Each line is calculated from the previous line, not the original amount as that is how TRU does it.

Fancy. I just enter in the price I paid.

I use this when I'm trying to figure out if something would be a good deal with the current discounts available.  Instead of having to do the math for each one, I just put the current discounts in once and then put the price of each set that I might be interested in, giving me the final price for the set.
