This is still widely available in Australia, despite it being 20% off at one of the major dept. stores. I can get an extra 15% on top of that, but I don’t see a quick return in these parts of the world so I’ll be passing.

Big W in Australia was selling the GBHQ for $200 (RRP $500) so that’s probably a sign it’s going.

I can purchase a Taj Mahal for $211 with myer staff discount. That’s a ridiculous discount for a new(ish) set, but I’m done with oversized Lego turds so I’ll leave it to the lowballers to flog em for $50 profit.

I had a look online and the bigger sets are RRP, they even have Taj, ninjago city, Saturn V. I might pop down to my local store tonight and see what they have.

Australian TRU has 20% off everything for the next 3 days. They currently have a good selection of Lego so some good deals to be had. I guess the writing is on the walls..

I won’t be surprised if Australia is next, I visited the store in Waurn Ponds (vic) on a Saturday the other week and there was more staff than customers. As always the boys and girls toys were seperate but couldn’t find any Lego for girls.. maybe just me looking in the wrong places, but I gave up after a few minutes and left. My last visit to a store in the UK was (Harlow) and it was to collect come imperial hotels, both came out damaged from the reservations counter so I didn’t buy them. Goodbye TRU, you were relevant once but no longer.

I can get these at 45% off right now, is it worth stocking up in the case this retires in 2018? One of the creator expert vehicles has to go and this will be 4 years by end of year.

Minor crease on the bottom of box, wont hurt re-sale price. It’s just the lack of protection that stunned me.

I seem to be quite active on this thread lately. My latest Sat V from Myer (Australia) no protection and some minor creases, but not too bothered as I get these at $127AU, but I’ll still complain...

I must have spoken to an offshore call centre as it was 8am UK time. Agree, the US and UK call centres have been great in the past.

Customer services were rubbish on the phone, I’ll get a replacement but not until they receive the damaged one. For the inconvenience - an apology with no offer of anything else. Maybe I’ve been spoilt previously, but this time was a let down.

Recent delivery from SAH, promo arrived perfect but diner not so. Customer services will be getting a call on Monday
