ok folks, it appears the the GE is no longer available on Amazon, Target, and Walmart is is now listed on TRU's site as "Our Exclusive". I hope this doesnt become the norm for all other lego exclusives. What do ya think?

They were selling other sets, but nothing good. The 10243 was the only set they had 10 of. They kept refurring to everything as "Invertory". Maybe a pawn shop, I dont really know for sure.

It seems alittle fishy. I met them at a resturant parking lot in NJ, there were three people in their minivan that had North Carolina plates. They already had an offer for $600 on Saturday, I told them I would give them $650 today because I'm a nice person .

Why would anyone want to get rid of a penny anyway???? A penny is worth more then a penny for just it's copper. Just check ebay and you will see people selling lots of pennies for more than a penny all day long.

Ok, maybe I should have been more clear on this. My friend doesn't really "need" the money, he "wants" the money to start a 3rd business. He is not in any financial trouble, he's actually better off then me. He is a friend that I recommended to him to buy these sets as an investment. Well 2 years later he has no interest in lego investing and just wants his money back + some due to the FB EOL. I think I'm going to offer him $3300.

Thanks for all the input guys! I think I'll offer him $3300 and see if he goes for it. It's just a nice and easy way to obtain 10 FB's and 10 GE's with not shipping costs etc.

Ok everyone, I need some feedback here please. I have the opportitunity to buy 10 Fire Brigades and 10 Grand Emporiums (all NISB) for a total of $4000 from a friend who has been sitting on them and now needs the money. That comes out to $150/ea for the GE's and $250/ea for the FB's.. The question is should I or shouldn't I? What do ya think, good deal or not. I'm on the fence with this one.

I know this may be a little off topic, but I would also list on Craigslist. You would be surprised how much response you get, and no fees and usually cash in hand, so no paypal fees.

Amazon use to be my "go to" place for most of my lego purchases until they started charging tax in NJ last year. I now buy much more from the Lego store and Lego LEGO Shop at Home for the same cost pretty much, but get the VIP points.
