  1. You can't blame me for questioning this discussion on that account, can you? It just kind of bothers me. I did not immediately see that this was all facetious, if it truly is.
  2. Hi Darth Lego. I don't mean to be at all rude, but from a grammatical point of view, "Legos" is not a word. The proper term is ALWAYS "Lego" for plural and singular. You can believe me when I tell you I am far from the strictest sect of AFOL grammar police.
  3. Not to mention that these figs may well continue into the indefinite future now that Lego is introducing new marketing schemes. Who knows - maybe Series 13 will have three variants of the same minifig or something.
  4. I think it's also worth pointing out that a future 2013 CMF series (Big Pete at FBTB just confirmed that it is Series 10, due out in May) shall contain one gold figure per box. How does everyone think that this will affect future CMF values; Lego's marketing and sales; and, of course, the ability for collectors, investors, and laypeople to attain the figures? As I explained on the Brickset Forum following the start of heated discussion, I personally believe that this could be a disaster for all groups involved. Here's what I said:
  5. Yes, I agree with pretty much everything that people have said about the CMFs in this discussion. They are definitely enjoyable and may well be a very sound investment. If the value of the figures keeps rising (not only within their respective series, but as individuals), then this may become one of the most important themes for Lego investors to keep in mind. For now, though, it's unclear.
  6. Hello everyone! Above, I have provided a poll that might interest some of you. I am fascinated by the rising prevalence of Lego
  7. Jeff, thanks so much for your support! I realized after I posted that this is probably not the best place to put the poll, but the feature captivated me and I thought it would be interesting for others as well. I personally love the CMFs and have amassed a large collection. I would be interested in communicating more with you and Ed in the future, as well as others on the site. The economics of Lego fascinates me, as well as the statistical anomalies it seems to present. By the way, TheOrcKing, I too have pretty much limited my purchases of the CMFs to bricks and mortar establishments for the same reason as you - I want to know exactly what I'm getting!
  8. Hello everyone! I am extremely excited to be a Lego collector and investor in this critical and fortuitous time for us! I have been a Lego fan for most of my life and am working on plans for current and future investments and sales. I look forward to meeting more of you and learning more about this unique corner of our global economy. Above, I have provided a poll that might interest some of you. I am fascinated by the rising prevalence of Lego's Collectable Minifigures in TLG's fan community and among sellers, so that is the topic of my query.
