Wow, i think ill be posting my used one up now. Have the instructions but no box. Is it worth it to hold out and buy a box on bricklink to fully complete and sell? Or is it not really worth the hassle, with gains only being marginal? $800 or more would be solid, considering i only spent $400 lol

Not true. There are a sheer number of pieces, but few rare, and those can be substituted as theyre internal. Even with adding 1/8 total price for shipping its still far cheaper. Again it is a hassle, and pretty certain most would rather just have it all there in a box w instructions. But the way I looked at it was, for a couple of hours of "work" not only did i get the ship complete, but i got two modulars as well for roughly the price of the ssd misb I wish this were true for all the other ucs sets i missed out due to my dark ages, but unf that is not the case wo making significant alterations/substitutions (isd, bwing, rebel blockade, snowspeeder, etc). Oh well ill keep trawling thru craigslist ads hoping to score epically one day

This set confuses me. No rare pieces, just the minifigs and stickers. There have been threads on what to bricklink at reasonable rates and this and the ucs ds ii seem to be often mentioned. Can be bricklinked for far cheaper than misb or used complete prices being currently offered, as I actually just did this not too long ago. Just have to build the damn thing when I get some time I get that its a ucs exclusive, sw ot, vaders whip, etc, but still, what am i missing?! And I still think the ucs isd >>>>>>> ssd. 10179 and 10030 make sense to me, this not so much. When i started looking to bricklink this thing new misb could be had at $530-550, I guess even at that price point it was still a good investment from a resale perspective as it just seems to keep going up. Well enough rambling, whoever has these stockpiled, it seems they will be printing $$$ for awhile

Just sold my opened complete set for double what i paid, ship it! Anything that can at least double your $$ I consider a win win, esp now w returns not as easy given the sheer number of resellers and hoarded product

I was seriously considering this as my next project, but now am wondering if it's worth it. I've heard that the nose will end up sagging after not too long cause of the weight, as well as the use of crappy magnets for the plates. Also, I remeber reading that the model is very delicate... It does look rather beautiful, but I'm not sure my OCD tendencies could tolerate a bent ISD. On the other hand if I only build half of it and bury the nose, it'll look somewhat similar to the new trailer Thoughts?

? Does it make sense to wait for the May 4th promo to pick up PC even though it's backordered? Does this promo only apply to SWs sets? Either way I still gotta wait for the points for my PS, whenever that ships.... Or should I just go ahead and order? Would hate to pay above RRP for this, or any set for that matter Also, since PR and DO are relatively new, I'm safe to wait on these before purchasing? Neither should EOL this year right, meaning I have time to scoop these later when my checking account refreshes hehe? Any help appreciated, thnkx!
