  1. I'd love to see them make a 3rd series of the Simpsons Minifigure line. So many characters left to do.
  2. Cantina, Corvette, Camaro, and if i can get anymore dr strange marvel modular is the top of my target lego investments this holiday season. Last year id say the only successes for me was police station and bird of paradise. Lot of duds...
  3. It's 2xVIP week, and not many sets that are retiring have gone out of stock. Either, there's a lot of stock, or people aren't buying, and the horde is only descending on a few select sets it seems (mainly Mos Eisley, and Sanctum)
  4. So much of the horde also are happy selling off a big set like this that nets them only 20 bucks profit and they are out of stock within a year. Better to just hold one or two for over 5 or 6 years. Less effort, less hassle.
  5. When the hordes descend, it can be crazy. This year, i'm probably not going to invest much because I didn't see a big rise in set values from the ones I picked last year, but it's amazing to sit back and watch sets just fly away at the end from the frenzy.
  6. According to Falconbricks, there are 9 new Jurassic World sets coming out for 2025. With 2 in January, and i'm assuming 7 for the launch of the Jurassic World Rebirth movie. Perhaps we will finally see a Mososaurus and Spinosaurus. Hopefully, the sets provide something other than T-rex's, Raptors, and Dilophosaurus. https://falconbricks.com/news/lego-2025-sets/#jurassic-world Number Name Pieces Price Release Link 76967 - 317 - $24.99 - January 1 76969 - 469 - $44.99 - January 1 76968 - 2025 76970 - 2025 76972 - 2025 76973 - 2025 76974 - 2025 76975 - 2025 76976 - 2025

  7. The Cantina has been out for quite too many years, but i'd bet it will be gone by Thanksgiving. I'm not sure how great of an investment it will be. The minifigures are great, but I have my doubts it will be like the Cloud City MBS from a few years ago. That set set sail with a short lifespan because it was so panned. Cantina seems like it was popular though so maybe it will do well.
  8. I think this is the first time Wooof and Vizam have been in minifigure form. And I kind of like the Slave Leia from the other Sail Barge from 2013. Dont know if i'll break down and buy this one... but I might buy the wooof figure off bricklink, if its reasonable.
  9. Looks like quite a few Jurassic World sets are on the way out. The Jurassic Park sets (76958, 765959, 76960, & 76961) are already gone from the targets in my local stores. My walmarts are also low on stock, so it doesn't look like there will be much good buy-in discounts for many of those as they sail into retirement. The Giganotosaurus set is probably the best one to invest in. If they dont remake those two dinos, it could see a good spike like the Indoraptor, and Indominous Rex sets. 76944 T. rex Dinosaur Breakout 76946 Blue & Beta Velociraptor Capture 76949 Giganotosaurus & Therizinosaurus Attack 76951 Pyroraptor & Dilophosaurus Transport 76957 Velociraptor Escape 76958 Dilophosaurus Ambush 76959 Triceratops Research 76960 Brachiosaurus Discovery 76961 Visitor Center: T. rex & Raptor Attack
  10. Seriously? Youre pimping Dreamzz sets over a line in which the first retired set doubled in value in less than a month post retirement. And you want to be taken seriously?
  11. In my opinion, I think the best investment in lego right now is the Botanical Line. Probably my best success in lego investing was buying stock in the first 20 to 25 architecture sets. Granted, those sets were limited to mostly b&nobles and a few other stores, and not available in walmarts and targets. But, I do think the first 20 or so botanical sets could possibly go the same way. But, eventually they'll oversaturate the line like they did in every theme Lego has sold. But, already the first retiree in that line has seen a good spike. And the sets they are coming out with our also very well done. The plum blossum, and pointsetta are great additions this year, in my opinion..
  12. Im definitely buying the imperial star destroyer. And this time adding it to the collection. I bought a bunch of the last one in 2014 but never opened any and sold my last one a few years ago. Definitely decent returns for that last version..
  13. That happened with the red five a few years back.
  14. This site is saying the Icons Corvette is retiring this year. Think this is accurate? It just came out last August. That would be about a year and a few month run which would make it rare short run for this theme...but hey. https://www.brickfanatics.com/every-lego-set-retiring-this-year-and-beyond#retiring-icons-sets
  15. I have a few of these. I regretted not buying this one when it went out of stock at lego.com back in december. Then they popped back into stock, and I bought a couple and got a good GWP that I sold off that I basically consider a discount too. Then about 2 weeks later, each of the targets in my town got in about 3 at each store and discounted them to about 80.00 (and all the stores in my town they stuff them behind lock glass, so the boxes are minty). So, I picked up a few more. I'm holding them for a few years I think. The jump out of the retirement gate which was about less than 30 days ago, has been good and I believe we could see this one get to 3 to 4x within a couple years. I'm tempted to crack one open and build one, but so far i've resisted the urge and haven't built a single set with this theme. I think this theme is one of the few that is going to do well. When my son got really into lego, the Architecture theme was pretty new, and that was kind of a golden era, IMO. Not saying the botanical line will go that way, but its one of the themes that could head that way. I know i'm not the only one that thinks that way, either. I hope they dont overdo it with too many sets. I hope they keep it to about 2 to 3 new sets a year.
  16. Its back up to 190. Almost double rrp, so this one is looking good as an investment. I think youre being a little impatient.
  17. The last remake dropped the resale value of the original r2 ucs by over 100.00 and it hasnt recovered since. Its obvious lego has no real material in Diznee StarWars to work from, so its just rehashing the same garbage. Im all for people hoarding this one, tbh.
  18. This is like the 4th R2 remake. Do you really think theres going to be juice left in that stone? The Star Wars theme has been well over cooked.
  19. Its going to keep going up. Hold.
  20. Bird of paradise is almost at double your money range at rrp.
  21. With the ability to scan boxes with your phone - what used to take a skilled smoosher 6 seconds to identify a bag, now takes 2 seconds per box. You could hit a fresh box in 90 seconds flat and have them sorted into your apron...
  22. I got a complete set of these shipped to me today, using the brick search app all the codes worked and we opened the set the figures were correctly identified from the app. So thats good that they can be identified that way.
  23. Corvette is kinda a surprise. I have yet to see this one on the shelves at target, I've seen all the other vehicles there. If it truly is retiring after this year, it will definitely be a set to invest in. Supposedly, the Camaro is also retiring this year.
  24. Are you looking for any specific series?
