It did back in the day. Not to mention the ability to buy gift cards with gift cards. The delivery was fast enough to chain them to get 25-30% off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
frown upon it yes, but usually wont do anything about it unless its excessive. I often do 2-3 order for a promo, and occasionally will do more if it stick around. but rarely have I done more than 3 in a day.
seems like they may have been holding these for the holidays. still may be retiring but certainly flooded now. Amazon has no limit and can add 999 in cart.
Tantive likely in the same boat.
Rankings are certainly a great way to gauge demand for a set, particularly the smaller ones with less AFOL/VP office focus. The only problem is LEGO has started paying more attention to these as well....
LEGOLAND New York is offering a merlin gold pass for $99. https://www.legoland.com/new-york/offers/black-friday-cyber-monday/?promocode=blackfriday
I believe it has to be activated at LLNY by early Oct 2020. But includes a year of all LEGOLAND and Discovery and some others.
Traditionally LEGO has put stuff on sale to clear stock. However there is no reason they can not get smart and start to play the number game. IE sell the train a discount (not even a loss leader for them), and hook other sales like castles. Keep in mind 20% is really the new RRP.
Or is this giving LEGO retail too much credit?
ie sound like you work there and may be important, not some random customer.
will be curious to see what amazon and walmart do with these over the holidays. either Costco got a great deal because its a slow mover or these things will be flooded.
they have closed all the giftcard + redcard stacking loopholes as far as i can tell. so 5% giftcard deal is kinda bland this year. good for gifts if you need cards to give...
Also if you have some vip points available, the lego VIP store poly bag is available for 500 points, which is less than $4. gives a code to add to your order.
Its all relative to buy in. The Blue one was available a few times for around 50% off, and is currently selling for over 50% markup on amazon. Pretty good return. If you bought closer to 30% and are only selling on ebay then its pretty bad.
this new one also has the added unknown of the new drive system. not tuned into the train crowd so I dont know how its being viewed.
