  1. What if instead the plan is to be sold in "battle" packs or in an extension of smaller sets? We know the next CMF series is in production
  2. Are there any examples of a set in the neighborhood of this price range that didn't do well after EOL? I like this one a lot, as long as its huge box is in good shape.
  3. yes. maybe someone knows if Maersk leaked ahead of Emerald Night's retirement. This train discontinuation chart (or an updated one) is probably somewhere previously on this forum, but it's interesting so I'll go ahead and post it. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=10718
  4. I'd think they'd keep producing this until the next creator train comes along.
  5. That looks like a 7959 Geonosian Starfighter. http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=7959-1
  6. Not to mention the sampling error of all the 8-year-olds not posting on Brickset.
  7. This adds to the good recent dilemma discussion. Here's AA, almost exactly the same: 2848 people own this set 2689 want this set
  8. My feeling is that AFOLs have enough black pieces stashed away to make a much cooler Orthanc, meanwhile their kids are asking santa for this awesome baddie-heavy batman kit
  9. I am between this one and Batman Arkham - I don
  10. It probably is the one must-have. LOTR: What a massive let-down.
  11. Some "detective" you are, no telephoto lens?
  12. 36R4 (GE), couple creases on the back and a probable sticker-removal tear on the front, fairly large.
  13. Agree, and ships do at least OK in the end... All the brown is pretty dull, though. Black Pearl had similar doubts maybe based on so much black but it displays much better on a shelf than this one i think (wish BP had tattered sails or at least a subtle print, though).
  14. Saw on nowinstock the old City House 8403 updated for $42.44; shipping is a mere $132.80. What's the record for comical shipping amounts?
