I'm talking about the gift cards TRU gave out a couple weeks ago from the coupon in their toy book: the $25 card for spending $100 and the $10 card for spending $75. I got a whole stack of those.

I just discovered that you can also use the $25/$10 gift cards they were giving out in store during november. I had been afraid they would work like reward certificates and negate discounts, but they worked just like gift cards. Now I have a way to use the stack of them I have without getting dirty looks in the store.

Where are you guys finding the the B&N coupon? I'm a member and didnt see it on the website, nor in my email.

So anyone else think this will top the list as the most hoarded set ever?

I think it has more to do with end of the quarter and ebay trying to goose their revenues reported to the street

So my store had a bunch of bionicle stuff on clearance and then an extra 20% off on top of that. With TRUTH magic it comes out to about 50% off. I thought long and hard about it but didn't pull the trigger. Anyone else facing this dilemma?

Whom is the wizard that makes scan-able coupon codes??? If we need another 15% coupon picture, I have one to share.

I would guess it is only affecting non-credit card users. I'm an analyst for a major credit card issuer (not Synchrony) and I am almost certain they can't ban you from using your rewards earned from credit card purchases. The amount of red tape those two companies would have to go through to kill someone's reward points would be amazing. One call from that customer to the CFPB could make Synchrony liable for gigantic fines, whether it is hidden in a credit card disclosure or not. I can;t imagine it.

There are a ton of these on my TRU shelves as well for $19.99. I'm trying to decide whether I should work some discount magic tomorrow and buy a bunch. I think I can pretty easily get these down to ~$15 with TRUTH and some discounted gift cards already in hand. However, forecasting the value of the 2014 version is the tricky part. Looking at Amazon these are currently listed for ~$20. Therefore, one would have to believe they would go up to be worth messing with. I believe last year during Bricktober these sets were going for ~$30. Anyone care to venture a guess as to value once series 2 comes out???

Did you just tell them the number and they keyed it in? My raise order does not give me the option of printing anything out scan-able or even official TRU/FAO looking.

anyone figured out how to use the FAO E-gift cards that have been heavily discounted on Raise all week in store? I tried all the tricks to combine them in to a bigger gift card online, but like everyone else, it didn't work. I know some people mentioned they could use them in store at TRU and I am wondering how they did it. I can't seem to find a way to print them out and just telling them a number seems kind of shady.
