  1. Can't speak for anyone else, but I was shocked to receive a package today from the USPS. I was sure they wouldn't be out and about today.
  2. My local Wal-Mart's been cleaning out their trailers. Can't get the picture to load, but I found 2 Golden Dragons among the Hero Factory, spider-droids and Goblin King Battles.
  3. I answered a Facebook group posting for a used, some sealed bags 10188 Death Star last night Before I could finish typing the response, they had lowered the asking price from $50 to $25. I'm super-skeptical at this point, but I take a chance and drive an hour to meet them this morning. 19 lbs of Lego: Looks like the majority of the Death Star is there, including some of a Hogwart's Castle for $25 + $8 for gas. Oh, and I found a dime in the box.
  4. Town Hall $475 free shipping. OK, in keeping with the spirit of the thread, I'm listing the this at quite a bit cheaper than I can find it elsewhere. This is free Priority shipping in the continental U.S. with signature confirmation, Check or money order only to keep my costs down. I've been on Brickpicker a while and have 100% positive on E-Bay.
  5. If Antonio says we're in the clear, you can take that to the BrickBank!
  6. Now I wonder what the Batman would want with all that Kryptonite?
  7. Why didn't you buy it when you saw them in the store?
  8. If Raptor Escapes are wrong, I don't want to be right.
  9. I haven't seen these in a single Wal-Mart around me. I'm not saying they wont get them in, it just seems strange to me that they didn't get them when TRU , Target, and Walgreens did.
  10. I'm lucky to find 1 box on a shelf.
  11. Sounds like we had the same day. 1 hour of restocked pegs at Target to complete 5 sets. And some extra cat ladies.
  12. When I first saw the leaked images of this set, it was a "you've got to be kidding me" moment. Then I saw the official images and I thought "these just might have some potential". Seeing these in person and being able to hold them in hand has won me over. I have no problem placing a small bet on a seasonal theme like Halloween. I figure I'll be wishing I had bought more, not less.
  13. Keep the sealed. Embrace your inner smoosher and put together a set of 16 from available stock where you can find them.
  14. I passed up a sealed box at Target that I had them bring out on the 1st, because I had pre-ordered one of these. Will definitely be getting a refund, as I just wanted a sealed box for investment.
  15. Okay, but Arnold wants to have a word with you.
  16. You should open that HH.
  17. When the customers are beating down your door, there is no incentive to offer a discount.
  18. RE available Sept. 11 at Lego Shop at Home........... .................And it's gone.
  19. If it were me, I'd go with no. 3 also.
  20. I would like to see the look on that raccoon's face when it tries to pass those.
  21. Expected ship date August 25 on Lego.com. Aaannd..... Back to Sold Out.
  22. I think a pile-on is called for. But is a safe and orderly fashion, of course.
  23. Can they catch up? Sure they can. They can do anything they want. They could flood the distribution chain with this line if they wanted to. But where it gets interesting is, what would they have to put on the back burner to do this. They don't have unlimited production capacity. Are they at full capacity now? I don't pretend to know, and I don't know how anyone outside of the company would. Having the molds is one thing, having the hours in the day to run those molds is another.
  24. 29 Joker Bumper Cars at TRU. I tell myself that they hadn't been put out on the sales floor yesterday. It's better that way.
  25. *update* I got to digging around in the General Buying and Selling Forum and came up with this bit of info from justafrog: "2. If the package is "lost in space" (no recent scans to tell you where it is), you can get the current tracking at USPS.com and ASK FOR EMAIL UPDATES (there's a box to click). You can ask for updates just to you, or to you and your customer. I don't know if I've just been lucky, but EVERY time I've had a package that the post office just vanishes in a puff of smoke and is stalled on tracking somewhere for days and days and have used this service, the package miraculously re-enters the flow of packages within a few days. Like I said, could be luck, or maybe they have to explain "never arrived" packages in some kind of internal auditing that this track-trace function generates." So I gave this a try yesterday afternoon, and sure enough, I get an e-mail about 8 hours later. It's moved on the tracking page with a delayed status, but on its way to the customer. I never would have thought of this, and it's a great little tip that I want to pass on. Thanks to all who replied, and a big thanks to justafrog.
