  1. Before BoBF ever came out, I had tried many times to figure out what the real allure of Boba Fett was, considering the man hardly did anything at all in the movies. I came to the conclusion that people had assumed he was the equivalent of a James Bond for bad guys. And I was really, really hoping that is what they would have portrayed in BoBF. But wow, it was horrid what they did with his character in this show. He was the exact opposite of a young, dashing evil James Bond. He was instead a non-athletic, smiling grandpa who had awkwardly uncomfortable conversations with animals. Episodes 1-4 could be summed up with a few words: Daimyo, Daimyo, Bib Fortuna, pay me, bacta tank. This mobster show was worse than The Godfather Part 3. And, yes, I am aware that I am saying something that I can't take back. Having seen a lot of different mobster movies and shows, I don't know how Fett wasn't whacked within 5 minutes of walking down the street, which ironically would have made the show better and actually interesting (I don't count Season 3 of the Mandalorian as part of the show). The supposedly expert Night Wind assassins tried to kill him, but for some reason only with electric cattle prods, and failed miserably as expected. This ridiculous assassination attempt was just one of many, many sad and unrealistic plot fails. Krrsantan was yet another disappointment. He should have been awesome, but instead of barehanded squeezing the brains out of an unconscious boba's skull like a water balloon, this assassin instead opts to just throw him out of the tank and give him an opportunity to fight him. And why he bothers with electric brass knuckles, when his punching power alone should be enough to explode bodies, is beyond me. The Book of Boba Fett does for Star Wars Episodes 7-9 what Episodes 7-9 did for the prequels. It all of a sudden makes you go "well maybe they weren't so bad after all..."
  2. Buyer is claiming these seals were opened and that I deceived them. Is there any shred of doubt from anyone here and a good reason why there is any way these seals could still look this perfect and have been opened, possibly as a return, considering how quickly I had to ****** these sets from the Lego store as they got them in stock? Thanks for your input everyone. I am basically currently telling this buyer I am willing to gamble a thousand dollars that these have never been opened, lol. These are the three pictures they sent me...
  3. I have to agree with buyers that getting a damaged box really sucks. I will pay more to go a different buyer than to pay a little less and receive a damaged box. Some things I display the box only. I just don't have the space to build things, so I just leave them in the box and admire them that way. When you go to look at a set and it is damaged, you focus immediately on the box damage and not the item itself. Instead of warm, fuzzy feelings, you get feelings of disappointment that your box is damaged. That is not what I am paying good money for, the feelings of disappointment. This happened to me with my recent $500 Hot Toys purchase. Guy did a very crappy packaging job and it came damaged. So now, every time I look at it, all I am going to think about immediately is how this guy sucks at shipping and even had the audacity to list shipping charges at $50 for a $20 max shipping cost. It makes me want to buy a new one altogether. I didn't ask for a refund and still left positive feedback before telling him how to not suck at packaging (I wasn't mean about it, trust me lol), but it would make me feel a whole lot better about the situation if he had given me a small refund for it. I don't open the Hot Toys boxes, I like it better just sitting in the original sealed box since the box itself displays nicely. You might need to invest in stronger boxes or better bubble wrap if your packages are arriving damaged to buyers.
  4. Fantastic Beasts minifigure polybag... 27 cents at Kohl's! Bag was partially torn open though, and when I got home, discovered it was a Neville Longbottom. Only missing the head, pants, and wand... could've been worse lol. Funny thing is, having never seen the movie, I thought the plant man thing was supposed to be the minifigure's head when I very briefly peaked inside the tear in the bag.
  5. I have the same logic as you, but still always a worry of mine... What if this person is so lazy that they haven't even gone to bed yet! Lol
  6. One thing I'd like to add when shipping items... Be sure to be as accurate as possible when listing the box dimensions and weight and always round up to whole numbers so you aren't hit at an unexpected higher rate. For example, if you have a box you use that says its a 24x20x4 sized box, don't punch in those same numbers for the dimensions. It is almost always 25x21x5. If the measurement comes out to exactly 24 inches and a single hair, you still need to enter 25. I think I heard someone else mention on here before that Fedex uses a laser or something to measure boxes, so you aren't going to sneak anything by them. Now USPS, you actually do have a chance of sneaking something by. Not saying you should try, just saying that getting charged upfront is a benefit to you there. I've had a postal worker pull out the ruler on my package before. The side was exactly on the dot, but the top rose up a little and, as we all know, boxes aren't perfect. I had to smash the thing down right in front of him, but he still gave me an awkward look and told me to be careful next time as he reluctantly accepted it. And I'm not exactly sure how it works with the Ebay discount and how you get charged by Fedex, but I wouldn't want to run the risk that either the entire charge or the up charge by Fedex isn't discounted by Ebay anymore.
  7. Wow, great detective work! I was only one year old when that set was released, lol. I may have to buy this set for my sisters next Christmas as a throwback to their past. Just hope they don't insist on a new one!
  8. Definitely early 90's. I don't know where the piece came from as I have 3 older sisters who also played with Lego, but I remember playing with my loose bricks and that sticker was slapped on what I think was either a white 1x3 (most likely) or 1x4 stacked 3 pieces high to make a little sign. The sticker may have been either clear or with a white background.
  9. Oh, and I'm curious... how did the insurance company handle your stolen items and repayment to you? Did they take your word on stuff or did you have to provide receipts for everything you wanted reimbursed for, etc. etc. Thanks!
  10. Sounds like something out of The Shawshank Redemption!
  11. So they definitely don't take the credit card rewards certificates anymore as of today... Anybody else forget to spend them like the idiot that I am? Lost $120 here today ??
  12. I feel bad for that guy at the bottom of the Christmas tree. He is seconds away from being flattened by a flying whale.
  13. Local Best Buy find. Might not be there still at that hot price!
  14. Is that double 20% discount still working? Not seeing it in cart.
  15. Always gotta love it when websites change their simple designs. It's like they ask customers "what's everything you like about this site?" and then they file it under "things to make sure you don't do any of when making the new site".
  16. One thing for sure is that this will be the least horded set of all time. Great investment? Or is that joke too soon? You decide.
  17. Sorry to be sort of off topic but why is My order status a subtopic of Daily Lego Deals in the forum menu? Just curious.
  18. Couldn't hurt but I wouldn't be surprised if it did little to increase the value. Like Magic cards, sometimes it's just added scribble nobody really wants, but the card value itself usually still holds true. Make sure to include a photo of the actual signing too. Just helps to add authenticity to it. If you got Michael J Fox to sign it at some other point in time, I could see that absolutely boosting the value.
  19. I have a feeling the piece counts are going to be lower for the price that we were used to expecting from here on forward. I've noticed it with a couple of sets lately and think almost all of them will be moving this direction very soon.
  20. I sold a Darth Revan Polybag and just put it in a padded envelope and dropped off in the outgoing mail slot. First class mail but printed through Ebay shipping labels so it had a tracking bar code to scan. A week goes by and the thing never got a single scan, just says "label created" or whatever it is on tracking. Guy says he never got it and I start to inquire suspiciously because I've never had a problem with that shipping method for polys ever before and knew with no tracking updates he could say whatever and win the case. I've had it before where my local post office doesn't scan and have seen cases where the only update ever was the final "delivered". I thought maybe it didn't get scanned then either and that he was trying to con me. I went to my local post office where it would have went through and gave the tracking number and the manager said it went through their facility the next day after "checking a computer in the back". I told the guy to just wait a little bit longer but he insisted he wanted a refund now after my helpless investigation so my hands were tied and I agreed. Sure enough, a couple days later (around 11-12 days total) the tracking magically scans in process at Phoenix, AZ after shipping first class from Maryland. He receives it eventually and agrees to ship it back if I purchased the return label for him. I just emailed the pdf to him, and he returned it and I was ecstatic considering I started coming off as a jerk a little bit in my emails, questioning his integrity and so forth, and also that he could have just kept it and screwed me for it.
  21. Who else is trying to figure out what the E stands for?
  22. I had high hopes for this theme and I bought all the sets, but something about it just doesn't feel right, I'm not sure what it is. I haven't watched any of the cartoons yet though, maybe I should. I imagine I wouldn't like any of the Star Wars sets if I never watched the movies. If the show fails to continue airing years from now, will kids still want it if they don't know what it is? It's not very much of an adult theme so the kids will have to want it. I'd rank this above Chima of course, but that isn't saying much. I think these are ones that will have to be bought at a good discount just to ensure you can at least break even no problem if the value of these sets post production doesn't move much. If this line does continue years into the future though, these may not be all that bad of an investment.
  23. I'd hate to have to try finding parking in that city...
