  1. I sold them to someone who makes crafts out of Lego and buys in bulk. Thanks everyone for the help.
  2. I had the minifigures sorted out too, I should have just left them that way. Thanks for the help but I'm just trying to unload them so the wife will leave me alone.
  3. I purchased several loose lots in the hopes of sorting and parting out. It was may more work than I was expecting so I'm trying to get an idea of what to sell it for, so I'm hoping folks here can help. I've currently listed it on Craigslist for $300 because I'd heard $10 per pound. It's a little over 30 lbs of loose bricks, a lot of medieval knights stuff, a few small older Star Wars sets, a mostly complete Robie House, some Spongebob, and one of the micro Minecraft. Is it worth it to sort the minifigures out first?
  4. Both of my copies are like this as well with no printing on the back of the legs.
  5. I've got a mostly 100% squish rate, especially for this series, but I do this as well. I buy up extras of the figures I know will be rare/wanted and use miniaturetrading.com to trade with other folks. I didn't start collecting them until the Lego Movie series and through trades I've got series 7 - 12 now.

Yes, I'd definitely start it at cost. When you make a listing now, ebay will tell you the average starting cost of recent sold listings. When I did my Series 1 set, I started it at $40 I think, which is slightly less than what I paid. The bids poured in though within a few minutes.

Whenever I sell anything on eBay I always do an auction with a buy it now. Since it's so easy to check the sold prices of something, it's rare that you'd accidentally place something at too low a price.

I think this is risky. To me you have two choices: 1) Sell them in complete sets. Advantage: You won't have any left over product. Disadvantage: You may lose slight profit versus selling them individually because someone looking to complete their set may over bid. 2) Sell them individually (or by color packs): Advantage: More profit in the end. Disadvantage: You may be left with a few odd pieces. I'd say try to sell them in sets first, maybe keeping back a set. If you fail to sell them, you can always break them up. Otherwise, you run the risk of the fever dying out.

Selling a set of Series 1 on eBay currently and kind of wishing I didn't put a Buy It Now of 100$ on them. I had 20 bidders the first day and it maxed out after almost 3 days. I wish I had stocked up on these earlier but I had a hard time finding one last figure for the set until I found someone on here willing to pick one up for me in a store.
  10. I'd like a series of classic movie and TV vehicles. Tron lightcycles A-Team Van K.I.T.T from Knightrider Airwolf and/or Blue Thunder Smokey and the Bandit Firebird General Lee Battlestar Galactica ships
  11. One other thing that might be confusing you is that they're not talking about VIP points from the Lego store. They're talking about Amazon credit card reward points. You get 3% back for Amazon purchases that can be used to either buy something else or apply towards your credit card bill. With Lego VIP points, it doesn't matter how you spend them.
  12. Bump codes are practically useless now. They're tied to lot numbers, so if you don't have the same lot as the person who gave you the codes, they won't match up. Lego learned their lesson with the first two series.
  13. Loved that show too. It was still a better ending than Lost or Sopranos.
  14. I'm the same way, I just hunting and completing a set. I also enjoy building my Lego-built displays to put them in, even if it is getting expensive.
