  1. "03s4" shipped during double points from the Netherlands to the UK here. I'm curious as to the R and S etc. I also wonder if Asia and or Australia etc are different again...
  2. That's all well and good but on the UK site it's "Out of stock, expected ship date 2nd July..." So here at least we're not done yet.
  3. Pretty sure SSD is a smidge over 7kg.
  4. Just bought it (limit of 1) in the UK. Comes with the Flashback Shredder and the balloon cart! For those interested: 5002127 Flashback Shredder 40108 Balloon Cart
  5. They're clearly in the process of updating the website (and all the appropriate sections for the VIP deal. I'd give them a bit of time and I'd imagine it'll work shortly.
  6. Nothing on the Lego UK shop when I looked a moment ago. Nothing came back when searching either. The mixer is still shown as coming on June 1st. No VIP email either but I wouldn't expect that to be mass mailed before its on the website.
  7. Typical, SSD has also moved back to the 22nd May now...
  8. DS was listed as the 13th yesterday so I guess they've sold out of the next batch and it'll be a further week to meet the day 2 promo demands. Could be unavailable for a while given we've got 5 days left!
  9. Yeah, they were lowered in the couple of days before the promo began, around the time we knew there would be 15% discount as far as I can tell.
  10. The death star (UK) is now out of stock with an expected ship date of the 14th if May. One day after the SSD date. These things are flying off the digital shelves!
  11. It looks like it's just part of the javascript box allowing you to select the different delivery/collect from store options. It's in all the items if you right click and "view source" on the purchase/delivery options bit, so it's justsome placeholder text so it can update the visible information appropriately as and when it needs to show it. Basically the various "states" the product can be in at any given time, and then all it has to do is show whichever message is appropriate depending on their database/stock system or whatever it's connected to. There's one directly below it for the "out of stock" message. All that the google search then does is scrape the web pages for the various text fields and probably because of what you've searched for it's decided to show those phrases in the info on the results page, even if it's not necessarily visible when you visit their website, because it's not quite that smart... yet.
  12. Well if I were to guess right now, having only followed it for a few weeks I'd say the Camper Van will be first of the above. The rest seem to be in reasonable supply for the time being, I think trying to monitor the rates at which they sell will be more interesting but difficult without very frequent "adding to basket" of items, otherwise if something jumps from 38 to 40 for example, I don't know if they sold all 38 before restocking or just a few. Bizarrely if people hoard sets or buy in bulk, resellers might be tempted to stock up again, which in turn feeds back to Lego to say "they're still selling" make another batch and push any retirement date back a month or two. I'd be interested to find out what the minimum production size for lego was, I guess 10k for some of the CUUSOO stuff otherwise it's not time efficient/cost effective for them to do small production runs. That said if it's just "compile a load of generic bricks in a box", they're more likely to stick around or be able to produce small numbers of the sets.
  13. Well it's
  14. I've been watching the stock levels in a few places for a few of the more key/likely/older items people are hoping to retire soon. SInce I'm in the UK, I'll go through that, but perhaps you might extrapolate across the pond! Whilst these are still in stock on the LS@**** in the UK, it's interesting to see what stock levels of the other retailers are doing... 1. VW Camper Van (John Lewis Exclusive) - This is argubly the most interesting that I've been looking at. It's been out of stock twice in the past couple of weeks. I cheekily even phoned up to see what was going on with it. (but they'd got it back in stock before I can ask if it was coming back in again) However they only got a small number (12 possibly) which have all gone again. 2. Sopwith Camel (John Lewis Exclusive) - 32 in stock, though I'm sure that a few weeks ago there were a 200+ so I'll watch the speed at which these are sold and see if I can spot any trends there. 3. Town Hall (John Lewis Exclusive) - 142 in stock, previously above 250 a couple of weeks ago, so plenty of supply for last minute stocking up if LEGO EOL's it. 4.Tower Bridge (John Lewis Exclusive) - 19 in stock, hovers around 20 or so at any time, I've not seen it less than 10 but not more than 20 either. 5. Pet Shop (TRU and Smyths Toys) - Smyths let me put 999 in the basket so I'm guessing their checkout software doesn't know current stock levels. - TRU had 20 a week or so ago, currently 18, so a slow seller recently, but then why would it go down during Double VIP points except for the 2*
  15. I don't see this discussed that often, but it's been around a while (2012) but it sticks out a bit and doesn't really go with much else other than castle stuff? Is it popular or a bit of a dud in the grand scheme of things? For reference I bought one "just incase" for the time being.
  16. John Lewis tend to price match other competitors, if they're notified (though they only have the larger hobbit/LOTR sets on their website it seems so probably wont compete with these items the 790XX stuff. TRU and Argos are busy getting rid of these sets at 50%+ off. I noticed the items on the TRU website about 10 hours ago, and they're all but sold out/unavailable now.
  17. Lego's use of exclusive seems a bit dubious at best. I can find stores that have an exclusive of a product only to find it available elsewhere not including Lego's shop which would be the only reasonable exception.
  18. John lewis - Wouldn't hesitate to order from them. Similar for tesco, they're both huge shops with online presence so generally very reliable.
  19. 10221 still in stock on Lego (uk)...but I guess US is a larger market.
  20. Lego won't do transformers... Hasbro is essentially a rival toy company. I'd love to see some futurama though and perhaps some more iconic buildings such as the white house, the kremlin all in the same size as the taj mahal, Eiffel tower, tower bridge and Sydney opera house. Theres plenty to be done! Edit: military stuff such as a massive aircraft carrier would be interesting.
