  1. If you happen to have a 20% off B&****** coupon you don't plan to use, I would be happy to put it to good use, but I would need the in-store coupon (not just the sequence of letters/numbers in the email). Thanks a lot to the crowd!
  2. Nah. Excel is really not the right format for this, with it being essentially closed. A simple csv should do too, and Excel could import that as well, just like a ton of other tools that people might prefer over Excel. Btw: what would you really need? Just part information of one of your wanted lists - like name, id, color, condition?
  3. A good start would be trying to find out why they end up there. And possibly also asking in a yahoo group.
  4. Same here. Please.
  5. I would be surprised if no two states have the top seller in the same categories. This is probably more based on superstitions than real data.
  6. I agree, but I would probably do it the other way around. I would first make sure I get a well preserved, but cheap used set and then sell the MISB set for more after fees than I paid for the used one.
  7. We don't know all of that as a fact. We might know that one run was sold outside of the US. I don't know of any source that stated 10000 as the correct number for a run, at least not for this set. Depending on the set they might as well produce more or less than that.
  8. It looks like a new round of B&****** coupons is up this week. If you don't need your 20% coupon I would be happy to make use of it, but I would either need the link to the in-store coupon (it's in the mail you get), or a picture of it. Thanks a lot!
  9. I don't think that is their intention. If they would not have any other reason, why should they care - the more resellers buy the more sets they could produce, the more money they could make. Their reason is not that everyone gets their chance (but that of course sounds nice as PR). My guess (as good as yours) is that this is more a question of control. They can predict the regular market probably pretty decently, but not so much resellers. Less resellers simply means higher market predictability, which means more efficient production/storage/sales which means more money.
  10. No. Someone shared a picture of them side by side and the sizes are just too different to fit nicely. Nor do they fit with the mini modulars - it is something in between, which is kind of disappointing for me. You can buy three, build all variants and that looks nice, but then for that price you can go into modulars easily too.
  11. I don't think so. But there is a greasemonkey Bricklink Wanted List Explorer script, that exports to XML - and that can easily be parsed to be anything with a little script magic. http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/167618.html
  12. I have heard of that. That is just so .... US of A.
  13. No. You probably have to buy it, but you don't have to eat it.
  14. Both of these options seem to be good, according to posts here. But for Walmart you won't see great deals, a few percent at most.
  15. Ah, yes - the typo might have cost him/her.
