No theme is 100% turds, even TLM2 has sets that turn a profit if bought at RRP. The 4 big OT SW sets mentioned are being rehashed because there is a market for them and you can still make money on them if your buy-in is low enough and there is enough of a gap in launch between sets or enough difference between models. I haven´t sold a SW set at a loss yet and double buy-in is the objective, anything more is a bonus.

500 USD FBA is probably 9 times what these guys were buying them for 4 years ago. That it has withstoos 75189 in itself is amazing.

List them 1 dollar less than the next FBA er and wait for the fun to start. At least you have 6 months or so to find 2 impatient buyers, it would be worse if you had 200 of them.

The AT AT, ISD, MF, X Wing are the 4 OT meal tickets they have to dine out on and will always be under threat of being remade. ISD is the only one that might escape a remake this year yet has been the longest off the market. If they don´t do one for September, it will happen in 2021.

FG has been in the game long enough to know his market so if it´s a winner there then good for him. In Europe it is still easy to find and will be a marker for HP EOL appreciation. Also, many Euro Timmy and Timettas are scared of spiders and how many parents are gonna buy something to scare their kids? I forgot the bus, which is the only sub 50 set I would take on but it has to be half price. Hagrid´s Hut is my winner from the lot.

For me the best sales window for Potter was 2 years ago, when everything sold out (except for the spider and the train) so there was a flip window at Xmas. This year they made lots of everything and some sets got extended life so now discounts come into play. I think the sub 30 euro sets will struggle and the sweet spot is in the 50-100 euro price range. Problem is they keep making more and more sets yet nothing is retiring. I have more Sparkle Babies than Aragog´s but the UK market is killing both of them due to more stock and lower RRP. Tough to sell those little sets due to shipping, moreso in OZ I woul think. As always, if you bought them for free and sell on Amazon FBA then happy days.

In AUS $ no problem.

I have one train and 2 spiders and that´s all she wrote. Other sets in the line will be better money spinners.

At 1x RRP, I´ll take that bet.
