  1. Holy crap these are awesome!!! In addition to the outstanding building skills and model accuracy, I really am digging on the Radioactive Man and Bartman!!! Also, I really love that he put Nelson hiding behind the corner at the Blocko store, just waiting to dish out some proper bullying to Ralph. Absolutely perfect!
  2. Just randomly watched the Jimmy Fallon Late Night, which happened to be the final episode, and I noticed that Questlove (?uestlove) was rocking a red LEGO Valentine's Day Heart. For those who don't know of him, he's the drummer for the Roots, who are also the house band for Late Night.
  3. TRU is miserable at packing orders, not only packing with technique to prevent damage, but the actual items the put in the box. I'm too lazy to take photos to accompany, but my last two orders were totally off, to the point where I truly wonder what the person packing them could be thinking. One order was supposed to be 4 of the 30167 Ironman vs. Fighting Drone polybag, but instead came two 76008 Ironman vs. The Mandarin with smashed boxes, and two totally random off brand WWF fake LEGO sets, which were both different from one another (a $10 & a $15 set). So, from an order containing 4 of the identical item, they somehow came up with 3 different skews, 2 of which weren't even close to the original item. Quite baffling. Also, there was the other one, which wasn't quite as bad, but had a few polys I ordered swapped out with other polys. 4 Lake Town Guards Polybags somehow turned into 2 Lake Town Guards + 1 Mandalorian Fighter + 1 Lawnower Polybags, and one of my 4 Tonto's Campfire was replaced with a completely destroyed Calvarly Builder box, making it worth about exactly the same as the Tonto poly lol. TRU is a mess. -PB
  4. You got a few good ones in there! Namely, second row, first one to the left is Killer Croc from the old Batman line and appears to be very close to complete (the waistband should be the same dark blue color as the pants, but definately not rare and easy to replace), and worth upwards of $30! Also, Third row first from the left is a Shadow Trooper from Star Wars and worth about $7. The Batman fig definitely has the wrong arms and head, and isn't really worth much without the correct head, arms, cape and cowl. Maybe could get $5 for the torso if it's in good shape seeing as it's the older, original version. Not sure about the rest of the non-licensed figs, but I presume they;re not worth much at all, maybe $15-20 for the whole lot. I could be wrong about the first row, first from the left, and second row, third from the left as they may be valuable old Ninjas or something. Hope that helps, -PB
  5. Agreed, these look awesome! Really looking forward to the Mammoth, that Maxifig, and all the trans blue pieces! I do hope that one of the figures will have a trans blue LEFT leg, cause from the looks of the last photo there are several figs with one trans blue RIGHT leg. I would love to have a complete pair of trans blue legs. -PB
  6. Bored at work to lol, dreaming of LEGO. For me, my best money maker was the 4 Dolphin Cruisers I sold around Christmas, but mostly only because I got an unbelievable deal on them - $20 each (x4) in the clearance aisle at a really depressing Walmart, only about 3 weeks after they were released! They did all have a large letter "D" written on the bottom of each box, which I assume meant "damaged", but other than that the boxes were all in perfect condition. Made about $70 profit each after fees and shipping. I should note, I haven't been doing this very long, and only recently have started selling NIB sets. I hope to have much more stories like this once my arsenal of Super Heroes, LOTR and Friends sets really start appreciating. -PB
  7. Haha, I love these kind of posts. "I just found a tons of money... is that good?" Seems like this forum needs a straight-up bragging thread. -PB
  8. I wish I got more DCs! I only got 3 very shortly after they were released. I found them at very ghetto Walmart in the clearance aisle for the amazingly low price of $20 each! They each have written on them with a red marker a big "D" on the bottom narrow part of the box, which I assume it means "Damaged", but 2 of the 3 are otherwise pristine, and the third one just has a light scoring from them going to far with the razor when they opened the box. It was an epic score, one of the few like it's I've ever been luckiy enough to find... but the super low price caused me to pass up other DC deals at $40-50 which I'm regretting not jumping on. In a way, getting them for $20 may have lost me a bit of money lol. BTW, I'll preempt any "pics or it didn't happen" replies... -PB
  9. Yeah, I paid $335 after shipping. I assumed that info was visible to everyone as it was when I look at the listing. Anyhow, looks like it may be trouble. Already found a couple off brand bricks as i'm starting to build 8038. Also missing a few minifigs and accessories right off the bat. Based on that it doesn't look like there will be anything complete besides the Exo-Force stuff. If I sell off just the minifigs in small lots I can get maybe $150. That, along with the Exo-Force completes and whatever other smaller sets I can harvest from here should bring me close to even. Then I'll have the bulk to sell off as profit. Not nearly as good as if they are all complete, but could be worse I guess. The instructions are all in good shape too which is a plus for me! -PB
  10. OK, now time to "Grade my Deal!" Took a chance on a seller with only 6 feedback. Item came quickly and packed decently. Seems clean. Just about to dig into it right now. If I can get a complete 8038, 7623, 4981 4982 & 7498 I'll be close to getting my investment back. Now in terms of the time spent building, for me I consider that a wash as it's one of my favorite past times... the shipping and posting on eBay not so much. Lemme know how I did. I'm gonna start with the 8038 Battle of Endor first. I'll update with how complete those 5 sets I posted are. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Legos-25-sets-Star-Wars-Indiana-Jones-Spongebob-Lego-City-Exo-Force-/190955960439?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=8tNqIOafeoatVMFaHrdWmezSTOQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc -PB
  11. I have a handful of the old 3197 Repair Truck NIB... Looks like I should sell em now? Also, I'm a bit bummed in general about so many re-do's. I was hoping they'd get a bit more creative with these, maybe make other types of municipal or commerce buildings, scenes and vehicles to add the the "City". I'm thinking things like taxis, buses, parks, libraries, a recycling plant, a power plant, news stands, coffee shops, corner stores, gas stations etc.
  12. Very nice MOC. In the description is says he used over 70,000 pieces! Seems excessively high to me? But, if it is in fact true, then $5,000 sounds about right (maybe even too low?) using the standard PPP model. Now, before you jump on me, as I said already I find it hard to believe that it's that many pieces... -PB
  13. Yeah, pretty ticked about them re-releasing the 40034 train polys. I bought 20 from the LEGO store last year that I was saving to sell around Christmas this year. Before the re-release there were all the way up to $25-35! Now they're back down to just over retail, and that's swing of a several hundred dollars... score 1 for the LEGO ARTFSLU (anti-reseller task force, special logistics unit) lol!!! -PB p.s. Extra bummer is that I only got 1 each of the Rocking Horse and Santa's Sleigh because I saw way more potential in the Train and focused on that. Obviously, I wish I had done it the other way around.
  14. Sold out. Just missed it.
