GE showing as retired on Brickset in the US as of 06/04/14 .. how accurate are Brickset with their retirement dates?

I think the Cinderella romantic castle could be the Dolphin Cruiser of xmas 2014!

Is it normal for a set in the US to be available for 1 year + after retirement in other countries? .. it's done here in the UK!
