Went to one store that had quite a few in stock. Explained that some other stores have been able to just let me run the deal through the register since they were coming up as a buy two get one free in-store, instead of the bogo advertised online. The assistant manager said she wouldn’t do it because she didn’t want to “lose her job.” I asked if she would mind calling her manager to see if he would be willing to do it. she then took the basket of Lego and threw it down on the floor as hard as she could and said “now you can’t buy anything because you’re being disruptive.” 15 minutes later, after ordering them on the phone for pick up, I was able to get most of the Lego. The website wasn’t showing all the stock that was available in-store so I couldn’t even pay for all of what they had with the Bogo deal. I asked her if she would let me buy the last few bogo—she refused. One of the most interesting customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Every other store I went to was willing to do it without any problem at all.
