Cue the reseller masterminds on social media doing a hard pivot to preaching the importance of diversification in 3…2…1… I feel bad for the folks who were/are just getting into reselling and, based on all of the advice peddled by the content creators, are sitting on Amazon quantities of inventory without access to the platform. Competition will be rough on other platforms.4 points

Didnt these JUST retire??? Castle still available....while sellers monitor retirement lists, not so sure the general public does and would expect a little longer gap needed between retirement and appreciation. That being said, the Castles and Ferris Wheels were pretty snaggable at 50% off so decent money could be made for some sellers just above RRP....3 points

It was the Reddit thread for me. I've had an account on here for at least a few years but not used the forum before.2 points

Sufficient to say mine was well below @brickvoyeur - I was probably the definition of a small timer. It's crazy to me that 10k didn't make the cut. I was grandfathered in back when the first gate went up in what, 2016? I know that it is futile to look for rational behavior from AMZ, but this doesn't really make much sense to me. The platform is such a trash heap of junk / knockoffs / fakes these days across all categories, and one of their main goals seems to be just to keep prices as low as possible (removing buy box, listing deactivation for price errors). Purging reliable "small time" (still floored that 10k counts) sellers who help keep prices low through competition just doesn't make sense. I guess the fees for inventory placement weren't enough to justify shifting inventory around? If this was framed as brand protection it would make more sense. I too thankfully cut back this year, most of my buying was in the past month, so now I'll be deciding how much I want to try and return. Oof... Well, good luck to those of you still standing!2 points

Sorry, my friend. I lost my day job a month ago, so this definitely falls into a "sting" for me as well. I'm also pretty small time - I started tapering off 2 years ago, so down to about 10k this year with 99% retired sets.1 point

It is clear that there is no single metric to this. However I would not consider 1 year long ago retired, especially if it was last year at December 2023, January 2024 a set first went out of stock. In that case it would not have officially been retired on Lego.com until sometime early mid 2024. As usual we have not enough data to make a determination and once again AZ has proven they DGAF about anyone except their money. After citizens united money/corporations are people right so that last sentence is correct right?1 point

Good to know, I guess I’ll follow suit. Thanks for the feedback/advice as always.1 point

Well, I think it goes to the old saying "you can't please all the people all the time". Personally I've never had a set missing a piece and it never entered my mind to have them replace instruction books because they may have got twisted around in the box or sticker sheets for that matter. Amazon will ban people from buying if they return too much. If I could ban buyers who return things I certainly would. A certain percentage of people are not profitable to sell to. Not saying that you may not have have legitimate issues but you certainly do more than most.1 point

For years I was mostly all FBA but switched to FBM for 3 quarters of the year and mostly all FBA during the 4th quarter. They obviously don't look at your history in 4th quarter because this year my storage allocation was next to nothing and had to switch to mostly FBM. I waited longer to start sending in my FBA stuff this year so their bots just allocated me less space. The only time I used FBA this year is to send in small seasonal stuff. Anyway from my perspective, since I've mostly been FBM, it must be a total sales volume thing.1 point

absolutely! this would be VERY helpful to know! I have sold 1000 items in the last 2 weeks, and am hoping to blow through and be done, this living on a knife edge is BS.1 point

I didn't get any notices and have been grandfathered in since about 2010 or maybe a few years earlier. My volume is way, way, way down from my peak years and my Lego volume is down to almost nothing. i do sell a decent amount of Funko and Mattel stuff, but not anywhere near what some of you do. Anyways, I feel bad for anyone who got axed. Did anyone see any other brands in this??1 point

It's what makes me think this was pushed by the brand. I can't think of any reason why they would blacklist FBA inventory on their own. It would make more sense to slow roll this. Stop you from sending in more inventory first, then roll forward. Getting stuff to them is already a logistical nightmare... I look forward to the nightmare that is getting stuff back from warehouses from coast to coast.1 point

congrats. My GWP's were in great shape. The endurance box had dents in the outer box on both sides. The back side doesn't show but the front has a crease indent across the top. Will just keep it since I don't want to have a return added to my account ..... aargh1 point

Super small timer (ranged 13-15k a year), only sold sets 2-3 years post-retirement, never quick flipped. Got accepted to sell via Amazon in 2021 (via the invoice method), then was forced to re-apply in mid 2023 (but did so with no issues). Guess I "deserved" to get dropped, sigh. Really stings though. I was already having a ****-holiday season and this just was a cherry on top.0 points

I really don't think length or volume had anything to do with it. I've been in for less then a year and have never broken $10k/month in sales yet I didn't get the letter.0 points

Oh boy, received the email of death as well. Merry Christmas from Amazon! For what it's worth, I had an order shipped a couple of hours ago that was pending, so presumably they are still going to ship these. I was also able to add one of my items to cart still from my wife's account, so at least for now perhaps we can get a few more sales in...if you can get the buy box while prices collapse. ^^^ Amazon also decided to troll me when I logged into my account this morning. Well if anyone who survived the culling is interested in a bulk purchase, DM me and perhaps we can work something out. I'm not in fire sale mode, but wouldn't mind offloading the bulk of my inventory.0 points

This is nuts, Amazon is just nuking things! Got one for Mattel just now. But all the Knock Off Transformers and other ko toys from sellers are sitting unaffected.0 points

I just got the same email. Awesome. Listings are currently still active right now, but I guess that will change soon.0 points

I'm all FBA with 100% positive feedback and zero returns. I'm small time, but I've had 45+ sales over the past 60 days all Lego and this hits me today. I have dozens of orders in pending status, two shipments in receiving. This is totally insane. I know they limited FBM by sales, but this is just batshit.0 points

I submit a case for an empty shipment. All 16 invoices for it. They reply. Sir, Amazon does not accept invoices from future purchases as proof. Please update the invoices as appropriate. Me: I think you were mistaken, these are invoices from 2022. They are multiple years old. Auto Reply: Amazon does not accept invoices from future purchases as proof. Me: An invoice with a huge red circle around 2022 Auto Reply? : I know this is a hard time. We want your best wishes. Amazon cares but these are future dated invoices... Can I sue them for distress and a new monitor when I punch the CS representative through my monitor?0 points
