i decided to hold off on forest stronghold and settled with the candy shop and harbormaster, but then saw how quickly the stronghold was funded and fomo'd into that too
The lost city is beautifully done. I'm pretty sure I have most of those pieces available to moc a close enough version for what it is though. figured they would all get funded but that was fast. grabbed a stronghold/harbor/candy. No extras for resale. The NO Included instruction books is the biggest downside of this program. I printed instructions for the Loewenstein castle expansion and realize how spendy that can get.
For thousands of years this thread lay dormant, who has disturbed....
Oh hey, Dutch Pinball has just revealed their first release with Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Neat.

They priced Castle perfectly at the psychological sweet spot of $300 for a big set. I wish they'd return to that price point. Mountain Fortress felt overpriced by $79, and the same with Lion Knights—it felt $100 too high. You can throw in all the extras you want, but anything over $300 feels like too much for a LEGO set.
Art of Chocolate is the only set that I ordered. To me, it is by far the most striking of the five sets. I'm underwhelmed to a degree by the theoretical playability of the set, but in the end, that's not why I'm buying it. I know it's not a castle set, but I think this will do well in the long run. It's rather unique.
Thx for the call out on this magnet, seems interesting and may get one myself. That being said, someone seems optimistic on ebay... if this actually sells for anywhere close to this I may need to jump into this lego resell business myself!
I think it all depends on how Lego lists the sets (exclusive or not) and how quickly they notify Rakuten of the purchase. Pre-orders are tricky like that.
I got Cashback from Retailmenot on the Mushroom House last round. Rakuten is sometimes finicky on these things but I figured it was worth the shot for 10% back this round.
