  2. Before you get too smarmy, almost every post in here is about first world problems. If that bothers you then I have to wonder why you even read the thread. After looking through your few posts, it seems that you are only here to be a troll and offer little to no help to anyone.

  3. After spending a week exploring Normandy, we spent a day wandering around Paris. Stopped in at the Les Halles store and saw their great builds of Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. Nothing exclusive set wise and only bought the French Legoman luggage tag. More pics from Paris.

  5. 60lbs for $250 is not bad, especially if it's older sets that don't look like a rainbow unicorn threw up. It's a lot of work but I love the old castle stuff... Anyway, it looks like this chess set is there: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=853373-1#T=P The red horse is from set 70402 and I see the dragon from 70403.

  6. You should be able to search for that LPN in your return reports. Then once you do, open up the standard return dispute process, and attach pictures of the set you got, and what the set SHOULD be, and tell them that they sent back the wrong/incorrect set. I suspect you would get reimbursed.

  8. I just see a labor of love. A sick part of me just likes sorting out a bulk lot. Even if you can identify some valuable sets, it's never worth the effort. I recently did a Star Wars lot that my sister found in a garbage bin. This mother was just trowing it out. All the figs were there and most of the parts. I kinda got excited and offered her a $100 for the lot. I had a lot of the missing parts and I then brick linked the rest. Straight dollars I made out, but time wise I lost. I'm actually in the process of putting all my kid's Lego back into sets so they will have for their kids or to rediscover some day. Most of the sets are mostly built so it's not totally from scratch, but it's a ton of work. "If" I valued my time I would be better off just buying them completed sets off Ebay 😛

  9. Technic Dump Truck. Absolutely amazing! If you want to try out Technic or for the kids this is a great set to do so. It looks great and has 2 functions and 2 builds for $10. I still need to work on the technique of assembling beams with multiple pins onto moving parts this is just not easy for me. Wish I had gotten the concrete mixer. Build: 8 Play: 9 Display: 6 Value: 10 Up next either the Technic Batcycle or Mack Truck

  11. I like the Funwhole solution. Use real common batteries (CR2032?) and DON'T include them. It may cause a little belly-aching at first but City builders and builder of battery sets will just get used to having the batteries on hand. A 10-pack of CR2032s are $5.99 at Amazon.
