I like the Funwhole solution. Use real common batteries (CR2032?) and DON'T include them. It may cause a little belly-aching at first but City builders and builder of battery sets will just get used to having the batteries on hand. A 10-pack of CR2032s are $5.99 at Amazon.6 points

I picked up the train station within 5min of going live as it was the only one I was planning to pick up. But then I went back to get Ominous Isle a little later. I was 50/50 on the pirate island...but FOMO flinched.2 points

So, walked into one of my Lego stores yesterday and they had the LotR GWP's still in stock. Apparently their original shipment got split up and they received more GWP's than the actual Barad-dur set. Maybe not the wisest choice, but I picked up another just because. I'm hoping my son wants the set at some point. Or maybe its a birthday present for him 😀2 points

Craigslist for the win! $350 total. I have purchased from the seller in the past and he meticulously puts the pieces back in the original bags and tapes them shut when disassembling. I never thought I would get the Technic supercars, but I couldn't pass this up.

It kinda destroys the entire black box look. All of mine are 1st generation boxes easily worth an extra $1 unless AMZ decides you can’t sell them sans warning label. Maybe Lego will provide sellers with stickers if you call 😝1 point

Just got my Barad-dur, kinda disappointed. Safety is obviously the priority, but the new warning label are huge and takes away from the nice image of the lego set. I wonder if boxes without it will be worth more than the ones with them.0 points
