had this option at the start or middle of this past holiday season, but never finished the sign-up since there was no option for drop offs. Maybe, I'd look into it once they work out the kinks. I'm at a point where both the UPS and USPS location likes me and don't mind all the scanning.....lol. You gotta treat them well.1 point

there is no place to drop it off. Amazon's drivers pick it up. Certain drivers do a split run delivering packages in the morning and picking up in the afternoon. It is not the same driver they rotate so there is no consistency and you cannot get to know the driver. If they skip you or miss the pickup there is no place to drop it off. Officially if they skip you you contact them and they will send a rescue truck but the reality is that it doesn't happen . The customer service is atrocious -think amazons customer service minus if you thought that was possible. The packages go through amazons network and are delivered through amazons drivers although some of them are dropped at the local post office for last mile delivery. I received a email a few days ago about how they are improving their customer support for pickup issues however the reality hasn't matched the talk. In general i avoid it completely unless there is significant savings per package and even then i dont know if the headache is worth the hassle. In addition they can put unexpected charges on your account that are more then double the original shipping costs and are almost impossible to remove. I think i finally figured out what triggers the charges but its just encapsulates their issues 1) terrible customer support that has no clue and mostly are the regular amazon agents that have no clue amazon does this and keep on insisting you should contact ups 2) hundreds of dollars of charges that they never informed you about and just take from your amazon account and none of the agents or supervisors has a clue what their for therefore they can't be removed -i escalated and got nowhere although as mentioned i think i figured out what triggers it an dhow to avoid it 3) consistent missed pickups1 point

I did read somewhere the little codes were less likely to work. But there were few who did have success. I also read this in the comments section from the Jay's Bricks article linked above. 'Just a small correction – this is a Data Matrix code not a QR Code so may need an app that can read Data Matrix codes'1 point

I spent a couple hours fine tuning Rivendell yesterday, applied stickers, placed minifigures and added a few parts I ordered with many more to go, but need to find a better way to display it. It would look great on my dresser with the mirror behind it but goes against the no Lego in the bedroom rule ETA: Oh, and I hung Starry Night1 point

The minimal servicing I did definitely helped it run smoother, but it turns out just turning up the "down force" or lowering the safety sensitivity a bit (like 10%, not much) seems to have done the trick.1 point

Came here to complain about my garage door, which is apparently on topic! Left for church this morning and garage wouldn't shut, I thought, ah, the sensors must be blocked, ran up and nope, not that. Of course it is -7 F outside, no one will bother to steal my garage things. This afternoon I took out what I believed to be the offending vertical track, shortened it a bit (it was wedged between the concrete and the curved track. I cleaned it up, relubricated it, reinstalled it, used laser to check alignment, it seemed to work a couple times, so I cleaned up my tools and came inside, went to shut the garage with the inside remote and now it won't work. So dang cold.1 point

I'm In for 2x Castles 2x train sheds and a western store. There has been a reemergence of castles lately but perhaps if/when the dust settles these will be coveted by castle fans. Good Train stuff is typically desirable, and I personally have always liked western theme. We Won't see gains like from original ADP round. There's not as much room for price growth on most of these rounds. It also IMO looks like They're just going to over do it with TOO many rounds ROUND2 Train station yes, but the Logging train is in large part a trestle build so unsure about that one. it does run on system track and can be motorized. ROUND3 Harbor master office looks like a pretty solid idea should display nicely. Chocolate factory will fit a Christmas theme village and also looks like has a few interesting build techniques. Forest strong hold may be worth getting 2 as to "help" future castle fans get one years later. Lost city is one i had to think on. It's aesthetically pleasing and pairs with LOTR or even Indiana jones. I Missed LOTR the first go around and decided not not pursue them as i had to draw the line somewhere on themes. As amazing as Rivendell is and this lost city looks, I'll plan pass on this one as I have with Rivendell. so far. The rest just don't appeal to me that much but I've heard there are actually different opinions than mine.1 point

Funny... I clicked on the link, saw that there were 9 available and when I tried adding them to my cart it said they were out of stock. So, I was going to take them, but someone beat me to it!0 points
