  4. I would think part of the stipulation of being on probation would be you can’t disclose you are on probation.

  6. Working on Viking Village, and hung the Great Wave. GF built the Taj, she said it was repetitive as most sections are built X4 and some X16 but loved the detail especially the build that is not visible once the set is completed and looks amazing when done, also she did Cat & Mouse. She is going to do the Grand Piano next and I may finally break open the Titanic if we can get a few days with some snow.

  7. Returned to my hometown Grand Rapids, Michigan for Christmas and visited the public museum with family. They are host to a really stunning minifig scale moc of the city set approximately in the olden times. It's a bit of a mish-mash in order to include some notable buildings, of course. It's really well done.

  8. That guy has all kinds of first-world problems to deal with. Also, I'm not so sure that he's as cool with getting put on probation as he is trying to come across as being.

  10. The stipulation that lego will decide what you get is often cited and would put many off. But then what model are people like minifiguresplus using as they only sell figs ?

  11. I do not have the desire to deal with fees, shipping, returns, and all that comes with selling online. Some of the stories I read here are crazy…the crap you all have to deal with. I never purchased to invest/sell and just seems like such a hassle. Since some sets have appreciated seems silly not to consider selling some of these sets I have. The pandemic allowed me time to sort through what I had accumulated, inventory most of them, see the appreciation etc. Message me if you want a list of what I have catalogued. Whether it’s Bricks-N-Minifigs or someone here, I am inclined to start pruning. Less painful the better. Never wanting to solicit like I see other posters do, I chill and see if I can fill a need someone has. There have been a few occasions where I had message exchange from folks in the forum originating from a thread. First time, a guy was looking for a box which I happen to have from boxes/instructions I have. He offered $5 which wasn’t even enough to cover shipping. Hilarious. Another one (2021), the person was interested in a Curiosity Rover and the Imperial Shuttle as I had reached out letting them know I would consider selling them as I have both NIB. I declined his offers that were not much above original purchase price and I don’t recall seeing another post from that person since. The most recent occasion was March 2023, there was a guy in this forum starting a store in upstate NY and looking for retired sets to purchase for his store. I sent a Brickset export of NIB items. He seemed interested in several sets (SW SSD, Queens Ann's Revenge, Black Pearl, Huyabasa etc. (In hindsight, thank goodness the kids didn't put them together in favor of Lego City sets). There were some GWP items like Darth Revan minifig as I recall he was interested in too. He went on some ‘hauls’ and communication stopped. I started following this forum many years ago from a guy that had a YouTube channel I enjoyed watching. Now I mostly absorb and take in knowledge on how many of you do your work reselling. I find it interesting how you all navigate the reseller world. Pseudoty, exciter (lives in OH near me I think?), Raven, redcell, raindog etc…. Learn a lot from many here, enjoy the stories for sure.

  12. I've done fine despite the lack of the buy box on a majority of the listings I've sold on, but would have done a lot better had the buy box remained in place on those listings.

  13. A specific complaint about a BL seller and store - hope a certain Grant from Marietta, *** is not one of us because he sets a really bad example for all of us. Ordered from his store on November 12th. Doesn't ship. I file an NSS on Nov 27th. The day the NSS turns the order into a cancelable state, he posts an apology note and gives a tracking number (Dec 10th). I thank him and start monitoring the USPS shipment. Almost three weeks pass and the Post Office in Marietta is still awaiting the package. Sent him 3 reminders during this time, no answer. I noticed his store blips in and out of suspended state. His recent feedback (which I failed to review in detail because his overall stats were good "enough" for me to proceed with the purchase) includes a lot of NSS/negatives, but also a bunch of happy customers. Decided today to just cancel the order through the NSS. Complained to Paypal and got my money back. What a horrible way to run your store.
