  1. It was worth it to not repeat the trip. Lol

  2. My kids and I went to Bricks & Minifigs in Charlottesville, VA where I traded the 40158 Pirate Chess and 60277 City Police Patrol Boat sets (they offered $100, more than I expected). They were not worth selling on BrickLick for me because of the low sell count and okay prices (I sell there and on Facebook Marketplace). I bought the use Hidden Side lighthouse set and the New Republic E-Wing ship (both had the minifigs). With what the kids added my total was under $25. Not a bad day at all. The store is one of their smaller locations I think, and it was worth the trip. They had so many minifigs. We went to two record stores in Charlottesville where my daughter bought a Chet Baker record among other things and was complimented for her great taste by the owner. Her parents taught her well.

  3. I remember getting a hate pm's from a member when I made one post that wasn't a deal in this thread lol. Apparently, times have changed.

  4. I've done fine despite the lack of the buy box on a majority of the listings I've sold on, but would have done a lot better had the buy box remained in place on those listings.

  6. I will say the lack of a buy box does have an effect. For example, I plan on listing bookshop, police station, and assembly square on amazon. Only Police Station has a buy box. The other two dont. Police Station is also going for about 100.00 over original retail, while the other two are around 35 to 40.00 over rrp. I'm sure the buy box makes a difference in amount of sales. I wish amazon wasn't ran like some third world country. Nothing they do ever makes any sense and there's never consistency.

  7. https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/help/more_about_us/selling-lego-products-in-your-shop-kA009000001dbuGCAQ It's nearly impossible direct from Lego. If you do pass somehow Lego chooses what sets they will send you. If you just want figs it's prob easier just to order from minifigs plus https://minifiguresplus.com/

  9. A specific complaint about a BL seller and store - hope a certain Grant from Marietta, *** is not one of us because he sets a really bad example for all of us. Ordered from his store on November 12th. Doesn't ship. I file an NSS on Nov 27th. The day the NSS turns the order into a cancelable state, he posts an apology note and gives a tracking number (Dec 10th). I thank him and start monitoring the USPS shipment. Almost three weeks pass and the Post Office in Marietta is still awaiting the package. Sent him 3 reminders during this time, no answer. I noticed his store blips in and out of suspended state. His recent feedback (which I failed to review in detail because his overall stats were good "enough" for me to proceed with the purchase) includes a lot of NSS/negatives, but also a bunch of happy customers. Decided today to just cancel the order through the NSS. Complained to Paypal and got my money back. What a horrible way to run your store.
