  2. Target got my Friday order of three 76961's and three white baseplates out quickly and FedEx delivered them at 8:45 am today. Box was hugely oversize but sets were 100% damage free. For once, Target did well. FedEx even delivered to my door and didn't throw it into my yard, like usual. If only all deliveries were that fast and problem free.

  3. Man, this investing is really cylindrical. When I started 12-14 years ago, modulars were a super hot investment. Then, about the time of the Pet Shop, they became ice cold. Now, the "gurus" (that were Funko Pop gurus three years ago) are raving about what a hot commodity modulars are. The same with set size and hold time. I've always been an investor in large sets. And BTW, I consider anyone waiting until the last possible moment to buy and then selling at a certain ROI, say 200%, a speculator, not an investor. But, as an investor that preached "go deep over the life of the set, to find the best prices" and suggesting that larger sets weren't hoarded as bad as small one, you would have thought that I was suggesting that I violate their grandmothers (and I am old enough to do it too!) It's funny that, what is old, is new. And life goes on......

  5. I took one for the team, save your money unless you’re a big fan of drum lacquered gold elements. This series is all over the place the first 2 sets had minifigures, this has no Sultan minifigure and the next set looks to be the best so far but has a mini doll of Ariel.

  8. I was thinking about Ed myself the other day.....Ed and i had many conversations and he always talked negatively about buying small sets and was hellbent on only buying the higher end sets (Or at least that's what he said) With so many people on the lego train i'm starting to wonder if it's time to start going back to that strategy until the glut of resellers goes back to where it was precovid or at least when things were more normal.....Just a thought As far as what happened to ed the last time i talked to him he was selling everything on craigslist years ago

  13. I love tropical decor and I am disappointed with this set, it looks flat, the shaping is good but the color variation is lacking. I may buy at a deep discount but it is nothing I would seek over a more appealing print of some kind.

  14. Many times, my friend. And I live in rural Alabama, where neighbors have hills and dogs and a good bit of distance between the houses. I've become handicapped and can hardly walk or drive so I am constantly cussing FedEx. This is one of the few times that you will ever hear me praise them.
