  7. I caught a little bit of it and almost spit my drink out when I heard him say that managing inventory is not hard right after saying that scaling a LEGO reselling business isn't hard. For me, after bookkeeping, managing inventory has been hands down the biggest PIA over the years particularly as I've grown scale.

  9. It's going to be interesting where the UCS Gunship goes. Originally, I thought it was a no-brainer investment, but i'm not so sure anymore. A lot of star wars sets have decreased in value lately from where they were even a year ago. If you got these at the 279.99 lego clearance price than that is a good investment, but anyone stocking up around retail will probably have to wait many years to get a hundred bucks out of one.

  11. let's face it...in today's click happy world of comment on headlines first; "maybe" read article later...this is not surprising at all. Also who knows what a small phone screen is showing. And to be fair, when I first hobbled out of my cave I was utterly shocked folks were actually collecting minifigures...things like Box only or manual only were completely off my radar and to me felt like scams. The buyers of empty boxes of sets are likely fairly sophisticated LEGO buyers an a relatively targeted market. I would think the best way to avoid illiterate buyers is to have the first pic be a sign indicating box only...best way I can think of to avoid a misunderstanding. We can all agree that it's a "buyer beware" scenario, but in a practical sense the seller is the one that has to "deal with it"...so it will always fall on us.

  12. As it would with me. It troubles me they waited to make that comment until after you shipped if I read that right. However, it's possible he knows he's overpaying and it drives him crazy but at the same time really wants this and knows it's his only route. So he makes a sideways joke about it to the seller which lands flat. I hope for your sake that it is scenario #2 and buyer is happy with his product even if he didn't like what he had to pay for it.
