I watched small part of it out of boredom. Basically a nice basic summary (cashback, cc points, coupons, membership, PM, and bunch of other saving techniques) but the main part of it was his pitch to become a member where he would offer tens of thousands in value through his various offerings - his excel inventory, amazon ungating exclusive facebook group etc.... so it was an infomercial2 points

he sat on that for 1 1/2 years, you could of flipped it when AZ went oos, then took that profit and did it again, He actually loses money waiting that long.1 point

He reminds me more and more of Don Lapre as time goes on And it is going to be a sad day when he learns why the first rule of Fight Club is a first principle of reselling.1 point

For sure! I still remember the fat guy, the worms, all the talk about spice, the weird pink human skin looking whale thing in the tank, and of course, Sting. I was in and out of sleep. Lol1 point

Continuing (and finishing) my lengthy Toycentric story from page 223, I just got off the phone with PayPal's dispute department. As I've preached time and time again on here, don't let these jackholes get away with this crap. I refused to give Paypal a dime all this time, waiting in vain for a response from corporate, only to get a collections notice in the mail last week. I called those nice people and they filed it as a refusal to pay (the guy really was nice, just fulfilling a function) and suggested I wait a few days before contacting PayPal again to try and work something out. So I called and after fighting with the horrible phone tree a few minutes, got a real person, working from home. I said "Bear with me, I'm going to throw a lot of information at you" - and proceeded for about 15 minutes to give every little detail of my story. He was familiar with and despised drop shippers in general, and when it was all done said "We're just going to file an appeal on this" and went silent for a couple minutes and then said "OK, hopefully you don't run into anybody like that again." I asked how the appeal process worked, what the time frame for a decision was, etc... and he said "I took care of it... you should see the funds in your account in about 30 minutes". Damn. Customer service endures, hiding in very small pockets here and there, fighting like a guerilla strike team... ok I'm tired sorry. So once again I strongly urge you all to stand up for what you know is right. Sure some of you more business minded people may decide you don't have time for what I've done, but for the small-timers who think they have to take it lying down... nope. Just keep on fighting the good fight. eBay beat me once but I'm about 4-1 with them and now 1-0 with PayPal. And may Toycentric forever burn in reseller hell, buried in 6 trillion tons of Joker Steamrollers...1 point

I’ve been moving product on eBay, but I’ve been aggressive with my pricing. No, I’m not undercutting anyone, but I am pricing so things will move. I have a ton of crap that’s sitting here, not appreciating anymore. So while I not experiencing huge margins, I’m clearing out dead weight and getting capital back into my pockets that I can invest better.1 point

Not really a fruitcake but... im buying four funko pops from one seller. I asked if they would give a shipping discount. i figure shipping one costs about $4 and shipping all four together would cost about $9 so they’re saving about $7. i literally would’ve been happy with a $1 discount. they weren’t rude, but simply said they don’t offer discounts. Now, just out of spite, i think i’m going to order all four on different days so they ship separately. If i’m not getting any savings, neither is the seller! that’ll show ‘em1 point

I once new a man who owned a used car lot. One day he arrived onsite to open the lot and discovered that one of his cars had been stolen during the night. He was enraged, depressed, and scared. Later that morning his mentor arrived onsite and I overheard their conversation. The mentor said "Relax....your lost your first car. And I guarantee you it won't be your last stolen car. Risk is part of the business. Don't take it personally. Keep emotion out of it. Work hard to minimize risk and get better." I try to remember that advice. Ebay is my strongest and best retail market. Humans make mistakes and eventually I'll make a mistake and so will my buyers. I recently shipped two sets to a buyer who claimed there was only one set in the box when it arrived. I knew for certain I shipped both boxes so I assume a theft at the doorstep, Fedex or the Fedex Drop-off location (Walgreens). I forced myself to stay calm and I explained the above to the buyer. I asked for pics of the box and packing material, explaining that I was going to open a Fedex claim. I told the buyer I was sorry - he paid for two sets and only got one, and I offered to refund him for the missing set. (one set was about 15" long and the other was 10" long - both good size). About 2 hours later the buyer emailed me. They were at the hospital. The package was a gift. When the kid opened the box and saw the big set he got so excited, he left the other set in the shipping box wrapped in paper, set it aside and never noticed the 2nd set which was under the bed. So they found the missing set and everything was fine. This type of thing has happened to me before because I wrap things very well.1 point

I don't care what you do with your account, but technically, you are wrong. You have zero responsibility after you ship it to Florida. I have shipped dozens of things to the coast that are ultimately being put in a shipping container to China or Japan, for the end user. I don't sell overseas either. But, that is why the buyer, who wants things from this country, gets them shipped to a US address. Because it absolves you of blame (you shipped to a certified address) and lets them buy from sellers who otherwise wouldn't sell to them.1 point
