  2. Watched the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie and it was really good. A lot of action and effects with some genuine humor. I believe the cast worked well together with a believable comradery. Chris Pines was having fun and Michelle Rodriguez being her usual "badass babe" self. Rege-Jean Page as a Paladin felt perfect. Seeing the cameos of the animated television series characters was charming as it was heartbreaking. Depending on when the film's tale is taking place, those poor kids have been trapped in the realms long as I am old. Ouch. (There was a planned series finale titled "Requiem" officially written by series writer Micheal Reaves but the series was cancelled before that could be produced. Fortunately, the fans banded together taking audio from a script read with many of the original voice actors found in the bonus features of the DVD release years ago and came up with this short. A little rough around the edges but nevertheless some closure to the series.) Anyway, altogether it felt like a competent game movie. It can come across as a series of fetch quests set in a fantasy world where everything exists with everyone being rather casual about all of it ....just like a roleplaying game. Maybe a bit of a spoiler but I absolutely freakin' loved the dragon. He's a chonky boy! Haha. Also, the graveyard scene was funnier than it probably should have been.

  4. So SDCC is over. I walked away with about 9 of those minifigure torsos, the time reservation system they had was a nightmare on the exhibit floor. It was a webpage that barely loaded and errored out constantly due to high traffic. Lego also gave out pins, 3 pins total. Thursday was Star Wars speeder, Friday was Sonic and Saturday was Captain America. There was also a harder to get Brickbuster logo pin, but it was only available if you brought in your old blockbuster membership card to show them. And last but not least, they hid old blockbuster style movie rental cases all around downtown (in bushes, near restaurants, etc.) If you found one you got a huge prize pack - all four pins, a Lego masters build, a Lego masters keychain, and you got to keep the blockbuster case. I didn’t find any of those, but it was kinda fun to search. I could see Lego moving forward with pins in the future over exclusive blister pack minifigures. Easier to produce and easier to give out to the masses, and Lego fans were still insane about getting these. Multiple mob crowds [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. they primarily go to the ones that used to be classified as outlet stores which are most the ones in the Mills malls, Sugarloaf, Concord, Sawgrass etc. SAH would send the online returns to those stores back in the day and still do just not labeled as outlet stores anymore. Can alway see old random retired stuff returned in store at regular LEGO stores from time to time too.
