they primarily go to the ones that used to be classified as outlet stores which are most the ones in the Mills malls, Sugarloaf, Concord, Sawgrass etc. SAH would send the online returns to those stores back in the day and still do just not labeled as outlet stores anymore. Can alway see old random retired stuff returned in store at regular LEGO stores from time to time too.2 points

Got goosebumps after placing the order this morning. Something more powerful about a remake to me than a "theme revived" like Lion's Castle. It comes down to exactly what you said, "out of my league as a kid". Plus we get the "new version". I've spent way too much buying vintage only to be disappointed with the 1980s quality (but never disappointed with the 80s box art!).2 points

Try Bricklink or S@H pick a brick. On Bricklink, search for the set and that page should have a section with a list of parts from that particular set. Create your own wanted list and add to it the parts you need from that set. Then use your Wanted list to search for sellers with inventory that match your list.1 point

Visited a nice Toys R Us like store in Canton, OH yesterday. Lots of retired LEGO and all other major collectible brands with pricing between EBay and Amazon.

I read on a seller forum that you can’t do anything or rather Amazon won’t look into the missing items until 45-60 days have past since the last ledger event, in my case the shipments have closed and show 0 items received. Trying to decide how long to wait, though when this has happened before to a lesser extent( 3/35 items missing on shipment contents page) the items still have not shown up after 3 months.
