I've been pretty busy building quite a few sets since we've finally settled into the new place. Making up for the last few years of collecting sets but not wanting to build until we moved. Some are also sets my kids recently built as well as some of theirs from before the move. My son made me a really cool micro Mario for the SNES hidden level Easter egg.
This set really looks amazing in person. Not sure if I would pay the new $300 for it now and if HP fans will desire it EOL but the Owl build and display is top tier. This is without the minifigs, and potion bottles.
Looks cool but what the hell were they thinking at a $450 price point. They still can’t get a UCS Batcave right. This should have been a $150 diorama like the Indiana Jones Temple Escape set.
This shadow box thing is just trying to be too cute, and it backfires. Give me a $400 Batcave that's just the cave (no cutesy bat-shaped shadow box), and I might be in.
Better yet, give me a $400 Arkham Asylum!
My first thought is why did they waste so many pieces on the enclosure design? This definitely isn't the biggest bang for the buck as far as play-ability goes.
