  1. Maybe you just need to be more clear at the Lego Store. Tell them your purchases are for sure "not for personal use" and you solely intend to resell them on Ebay. Be sure to ask for their purchase limits and how often you can come in. Sometimes you need to try several times to get to the right people.

  2. I honestly don't think it is even close. West End provides a ROI that is better than what I have the time to achieve myself and even then, $$$'s now and time saved are way more valuable than even trying to figure out what I could have done on my own across everything they have sold for me. I haven't been nearly as active the past two years due to moving homes and changes in life but West End was there to still provide me a bi-weekly paycheck that was substantial enough to be happy with it. And with ROIs above 100% and $10,000's of items sold, I'm not going to complain about 5% ROI that I might be missing out on myself, cause that 5% ROI would include listing, packing, shipping, etc... where with West End, all I got to do is greet Rich when he arrives, have a few chuckles and then wave goodbye. Again, I think, I hope, they understood the power of communication now as I believe it will improve. Sometimes it just takes a kick in the butt to remember some of the basics during busier times. I want to add one example. I'm going through the latest sales sheet and one item I only got a ROI of 15%. I don't see that as their fault. I see that as MY FAULT for a) providing a set too early to them, b) not having a great purchase price to begin with (what i paid) and c) possibly buying a set that might not have been a great investment to begin with. I will learn from it, and take those three things into consideration on the next items. BUT, I still got 15% and sold 20 of them, so it's not like I lost anything here. Sure 10 cents per month for a year too can be taken out of that, but that only brings it down to 10% at a minimum ROI. Still better than most other things, and there is no chance I could have sold the set for a profit anywhere I'm aware of unless some local fool wanted it bad enough in a rush.

  4. I'm sure that would go over well...perhaps followed by a Harvey Weinstein hotel room set?

  5. Just my opinion but the last thing you should do is walk into a lego store and mention anything about reselling

  7. Target quit taking tax exemptions in 2014 or 2015 after some debacle involving a limited run clothing brand. Neither the LEGO store nor LEGO.com take tax exemptions.

  8. True, guess I need to keep trying. It's a pain though if the cancelled order hit the limit - you need to contact CS to have their "Order Review Team" reinstate the order (they can't reset the limit as such), wait about 48 hours, and then, in 48-72 hours, have the order be cancelled again even if you've noticed your item(s) popping in and out in the interim. I can't say I haven't taken advantage of the keychain trick either So let me apologize to @raindog and the others. The restocks aren't completely worthless, probably the opposite when there's a GWP around. And my anecdotal experience with the occasional return (in 2021) is that they don't really bother deducting the GWP's retail price from the return as they should.

  9. Oh the 3 I want. I have been to 3 Walmarts, Target, Kohl’s, Walgreens, Jo-Anne, Best But and Big Lots and still nothing. I’m on the verge of just buying a case.

  12. Sorry, but that is not always true (although it is a large portion of the time.) I snagged two Stranger Things on one of the "phantom restocks."

  15. The anime series of my childhood came alive on screen !! Looks like this adaptation is very faithful to the original series. Crazy what love and passion could bring to screen. Good job the Philippines !!! A little background on Voltus V: An alien race (people with horns) invaded Earth. Voltus V was last line of defense for Earth. The mech was a combination of 5 aircrafts piloted by 5 young pilots (3 of them are brothers). Unlike other mech series of the era, the mech did not always win the fight with the big monsters. A lot of times they had to retreat to figure out better ways to fight. But the best part of the series (IMHO) was the intrigues and politics of the alien race, all of the (unexpected) love & betrayals. As you can see on the trailer, they spent a lot of time showing off the aliens' planet. Trailer with sub. The CGI is pretty good

  17. Target requires you to show the cert each time. TRU (and my Walmart) requires you to show your cert PLUS fill out a form with each visit. See the attached picture what I need to fill out. Cashiers just love this form as most seem not trained about it. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if TRU shared the info with Lego due to their strong partnership. Hence, I don't shop much at TRU? As you already know, forget about Lego stores. For supplies, Home Depot and Lowes store your info so you only need to show ID and give your phone number.
