After reading everyone having success with getting batwings price matched or credit i decided to call SAH....Even though i normally don't do this and have advised against it i figured what the heck...It's the holidays right?.....Ater getting a hold of someone and telling them my situation about the batwings she gladly gave me $80.00 credit While i'm on the phone with her my UPS guy pulls up and drops off my lego order in a huge box which shocked me considering all i was supposed to have coming was the blanket, polybag, and mando microfighter.....And then i open it up and see this guy below sitting in the box I tell the lego sah lady about the extra set in the box being sent to me by mistake....She puts me on hold for a few minutes and then after looking at my account her exact words were "Sir with you being a valuable and loyal customer consider it a gift".....What a day....$159 Batwings plus the blanket, polybag, vip points, rakuten, and the freebie set!14 points

The Polar Express designer, he also did the Home Alone set, is giving away the parts list and instructions as a Xmas gift: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/1vXCoDTPiC-7LLRGiOzFtqa90QwmXsdKR?usp=sharing&pli=12 points

I like this stuff and it's comparable to the Staples tape I've always used. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QDYN9VR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=12 points

From the “Read Me”: Please prior getting parts be aware that this is not an official Lego set, therefore it might be less stable or have other flaws that official sets do not have. Open any of the documents using Google drive, copy all and paste into BrickLink’s (upload) menu to create your wanted list. Then you will be able to search for parts through the entire Bricklink. Instructions will be made available later as a file.1 point

Picks are leaked of the Bionical tribute GWP... won't have to worry about hoarding those for resale... that thing is hideous lol1 point

The BTTF 21103 cuusoo was mega hoarded and would not retire at a time when sets had shorter lifespans. It still did great. I suspect Seinfeld may be getting overlooked as people continue to load up on Friends.1 point

Unless you grew up here or stayed a really long time it is still painful to shop here. I went to the Zurich lego store opening and the number of people willing to pay full Swiss rrp is mind boggling. Honestly i dont have that much space or time to build now as well. I'm also for it mainly for the money but am happy to spend some time building with the kids. Recently got some dots to build with them for fun when they were more than 50% off rrp but i would never invest in them!1 point

IKEA Ribba frame was the choice for many Minifigures displays but now is retired. The Sannahed is basically the same if not a little deeper. Not sure about 50 mini figs but if you squeeze them in you could get a good amount. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/sannahed-frame-black-40528165/1 point

At these clearance prices they are already 50% profit clear and they move fast. It's a lot more popular set than most think.1 point

I've built myself a pretty functional archival rolling rack system with appliance rollers attached to 48 x 24" boltless shelving. But I love tinkering and doing silly stuff like this. I also keep my sets boxed like this to keep dust off them and protect them from any possible basement moisture. I'm sure the wire shelving system would work great. I use a big 48 x 18" one from Target as my pantry shelf - very sturdy. They used to sell a wheel kit for theirs that was really nice and way underpriced but it seems like they maybe got wise to that and discontinued it. You can also buy covers for the standard size shelves or cut your own from various materials if you see the need.1 point

It took four months to pull this out and then 3 weeks to build. My wife is quite impressed with it visually, especially compared to modulars which are relatively plain. I find that it's a very pretty set with lots of details. The spire was a unique build and a good use of the Chevron pieces. It screams to be paired with the other sets (or modulars). However, I don't want to open my new Docks and Nijago City and have yet to find a cheapish used version. Yay LEGO!1 point
