  1. How does your wife feel about that? Or are we not talking about the right part of the image? Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk

  2. His collection is small and insignificant. He won't be concerned with being banned on SAH His RRP is misleading and his overvaluations are going to cause even more dipwads to get into this I'm going to pivot on my investments now. I'm done with plastic bricks. Can someone tell me which exchange I can use to buy puts on his hairline?

  4. Twas the night before Clearance And all through the aisle Steamrollers were packed Into my cart like a pile Exo Suits were hung In the storage with care Knowing that in a decade They still will be there Sergeant Jyn Erso was nestled Deep under my bed With terrible proportions And a face that looks dead Wonder woman in her armor And cheetah in her cap The lasso of truth will tell you That this set is pure crap When out on my doorstep A noise shook me awake ShopJustice still delivering Olaf Flat as a pancake Faster shipping than FedEx The turds as they came I cried and I pouted As I called them by name "Now, Dots! now, Mario! Now Lego Movie 1 and 2! On, Raiders! on, Mighty Dinos! On, Takodana and constractables too! To the depths of the dumpster! Stacked 50 feet tall Now throw away! throw away! throw away all!" Each year I make efforts To donate a bit more But Toys for tots sends a bill For returning them to my door Since I can't give them away I'll dig a big pit It's the final solution To get rid of this sh!t I shook as I laughed At the thought of relieving this pain It was nearly 3am So I looked quite insane As I poured the kerosene I cheered with delight "I'll light you on fire, So you're out of my sight"

  6. I have used a bunch of these for about 5 years. I've never had an issue. Just be careful to lift the LEGO box off the shelf and don't slide it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385079605428

  7. The 1st or 2nd time no.....If it becomes a habit the banhammer will come down When it comes to anything you're buying to resell it's not worth it no matter whether it's lego or any other collectible....Happens to everyone....Whether it's lego or anything else (I sell other items beside lego like a lot of you) you're going to buy something which you think was a great deal and then a week later you find it cheaper......Just suck it up and move on Best to do it on non collectible big ticket items such as tv's, refrigerators, etc

  9. I've built myself a pretty functional archival rolling rack system with appliance rollers attached to 48 x 24" boltless shelving. But I love tinkering and doing silly stuff like this. I also keep my sets boxed like this to keep dust off them and protect them from any possible basement moisture. I'm sure the wire shelving system would work great. I use a big 48 x 18" one from Target as my pantry shelf - very sturdy. They used to sell a wheel kit for theirs that was really nice and way underpriced but it seems like they maybe got wise to that and discontinued it. You can also buy covers for the standard size shelves or cut your own from various materials if you see the need.

  10. I use this one from Costco when they have it in store for under $100. They are getting more expensive by the year. This is only 18" deep so it is too narrow for the $100+ MSRP sets, but not bad for $70ish sets https://www.costco.com/trinity-6-tier-wire-shelving-rack%2c-48"-x-18"-x-72"-nsf%2c-includes-wheels.product.100412448.html Looks like Costco has 24" deep rack on their website. These wider racks would probably be harder to maneuver in limited space. https://www.costco.com/.product.100143963.html One thing to consider is whatever you put on the shelves are going to shift a bit and even fall down to the floor when you move the rack This can be minimized by putting the sets in bins instead of directly on shelves, but this also means you won't be able to maximize the space usage for each shelf.

  11. Magic the Gathering has faced similar fears of people investing in it. Arguably a much easier thing to store and sell and not nearly as "consumable". It hasn't really impacted it yet. Realistically this guy and most "investors" hold more sets than they sell, eventually they realize they have too much and find 3rd party outlets to dump it. Next time i see one of these videos I hope @redcell or @Raven is on WSJ showing us how they do it.

  13. Sometimes I think it is not good too charge this much (smaller speed champions e.g.) because all orders by uninformed buyers (who are a lot during Xmas) will be returned, because they think they got ripped off. Anyone has experience based on data what ist doable with RRP of 10$,20$? For me 10$/€ max is 50€, more likely 38-45, 20€ range from 70-85€, 30€ is 70-120, so roughly 4x max.

  14. My wife looking over my shoulder read this thread with me and says “congratulations for forking someone.” In all seriousness though, it is still being sold for $10 on Amazon? Am I missing something?

  15. @exciter1 Yeah, this strikes me as a set that will be 100+ next year and continue to rise after that. Short run collectible set of 5. I had expected this set to take off into the 80s this year, but while checking sellers quantities I noticed a few with 800+ banked. I sold the ones I had at Amazon between 60-70 and held the rest of my inventory. Similar things happened with some of the minecraft sets. Or the Speed Champion Ferrari. One seller controlled the BB for three months. They definitely aren't buying retail. Selling is turning into a game of dodge the hoard or wait out the hoard.

  16. "each day is a new adventure" Love it. My battle lately has been de-activated listings because of 'price errors'. Without fail, I've been the lowest price on each of these listings, and after deactivation there are still other sellers with listings at higher prices. Bots gone wild, I guess.

  17. They are meant to look like actual banners that you can hang on the wall. You can see the hanging piece in the back. If anything I think they are maybe only a couple studs deep and are pretty flat.

  19. So ... turns out there is another way of dealing with this. I couldn't find the screenshot I know I took (that's what getting older does to your brain - be this a warning fellas) and was procrastinating shifting through all my receipts to find "invoices". Today, 5 days later, all my inventory is suddenly checked in with no discrepancies. Issue resolved

  20. There is a Lego God! Just sold my last Exo-suit 21109. Might actually turn a profit on this one. Please excuse my excitement, it’s my Joker Steamroller.
