It took four months to pull this out and then 3 weeks to build. My wife is quite impressed with it visually, especially compared to modulars which are relatively plain. I find that it's a very pretty set with lots of details. The spire was a unique build and a good use of the Chevron pieces. It screams to be paired with the other sets (or modulars). However, I don't want to open my new Docks and Nijago City and have yet to find a cheapish used version. Yay LEGO!

I picked up a Jyn Erso at a K-mart for like $1.75 just to have as a sort of trophy or totem of unwantedness.

I can’t believe that it’s been almost five years already since that post. Crazy how time flies. My new “Steam Roller” is the Cara Dune AT-ST, but I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one in that boat. Your Steamroller story was my favorite post ever. There's been so many references to "Steamroller" since, there must be a ton of newer members wondering what that's all about. Read it here. What does everybody do with all their smashed kohls sets? For me it's really been disastrous this year . I have around 60 sets that need to be returned. They do not provide return shipping labels. Do you just walk in to kohls and return 25-30 sets a t a time.

I use a 46" monitor but I also have 60+ year old eyes. I couldn't quite make it out when I tried to look. I thought that was the number but the Costco stock checker stated that it wasn't a good number. But thank you for pointing that out. The local Costco stated that item has been deleted from the system and no one in the southern US has it. I hope this saves some trips.

Sure there's some nitpicking I might do the more I look at them. Frodo's feet probably should have used 1x4 plates since Hobbits have big feet. Gollum just looks like a child in dirty diapers. And the Balrog horns...uhhhh. But yeah, these are nice.

Congrats! That’s always a good feeling when the last of a dud set leaves your inventory, especially if you actually made some profit on it. I know how that feels [emoji3061][emoji23]. Exo-Suit was one set that I never fell for the hype on. I bought two. Gave one to my son and sold the other locally at cost just to get rid of it. I am a small potatoes guy in Canada. I tend to sell mainly to offset the cost of sets I build. I probably sell 5k or so a year in sets and make around 1k. This is one set I have gone deep (for me) on. I have 30 and have an average but in of about $65 CAD ($90 CAD was retail.) I plan to hold for at least a year or two but believe this will do well - it is such an iconic show that has found a new generation of fans. I think this set is cooler than the apartments which are about 2.5x retail price. In 5 years when both are long retired I think many fans of the show will pick this set over it. It looks to be drying up in Canada. “Retiring Soon” and “Sold Out” on the Lego website and now selling at retail price on Amazon for the first time in over a year after almost permanent 15-20 percent discounts) I appreciate there are lots of these in people’s closets but believe the demand will be there !

Got into car accident on Sunday, airbag deployed and everything. The other driver decided to cross the road without noticing me coming in from his left. We walked out of the cars fine, seatbelts FTW. Weird how I did not feel the body aches until 2-3 days later. The biggest headache (ha!) is going to be finding a new car or even a used car to replace my CRV
