  1. Sold my last sealed 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle for $800 and a sealed 10219 Maersk Train for $400 locally. I could've net about $160 more if I had sold via eBay, but the convenience of the sale and the zero worry concern of potential scamming and/or transit damage is worth netting less...at least for me.

  2. Welcome. There are a few pieces of advice I can offer. First...take it slowly while you're getting started and avoid the often unavoidable temptation to go overboard with buying. If you look back through the historical posts on this site, there are many examples of people who started for reasons similar to what you've outlined, got really amped up about it, bought a ton of product really fast, and then disappeared or sold out when they became overwhelmed. Second...figure out how/where you're going to sell before getting in too deep. Selling is not as easy as buying. Third...don't put too much stock in the "experts" on Youtube. There is some ok advice to be had there, but those folks don't always have the expertise that they front having and they're inevitably trying to sell you something else...and I've seen them give profoundly bad no-good idiotic stupid advice before. Fourth...have fun and enjoy it.

  3. No, my Amazon inventory is probably 4x my Walmart inventory. I haven't done much Lego on Walmart so this is just other misc. toys. It is a delicate balance because because Amazon = higher volume/lower prices and Walmart =lower volume/higher prices. So many things are selling for 50-100% higher price on Walmart, but you could sell 20 a day on Amazon and maybe 1 or 2 a day on Walmart. Lots of bad buys that I can sell for a profit on Walmart and would sell for a loss on Amazon right now.

  9. 1. I agree with you there. 2. That is no doubt true...it never fails to amaze me how much you have to pay to look that ridiculous: https://mausandhoffman.com/mens-clothing/mens-woven-shirts/firenze-paisley-sport-shirt-SSH1-135753 https://mausandhoffman.com/mens-clothing/mens-woven-shirts/queue-for-the-zoo-print-liberty-of-london-shirt-SSH1-134961 https://mausandhoffman.com/mens-clothing/mens-woven-shirts/ardito-print-sport-shirt-SSH1-136064

  11. I don't follow the forums super closely, but it definitely occurred to me that Amazon might have wanted to elicit the exact response that it did in the event that it viewed the forums as being dominated by trolling a-holes who might not be as willing to be a-holes if they knew light was shining on them. It seems like every time I drop in on a thread, there is always some group of people basically telling the original poster that Amazon isn't for them, their business model doesn't work on Amazon, they're stupid, or something of the sort. That's definitely one of the reasons why I rarely go there. I made my last post here mostly because I found the idea of eliminating anonymity on an internet forum pretty funny. It's kind of like selling a car without the windshield...sure it will work, but it's going to be a whole less pleasant.

  12. part of me believes they know what they are doing. The NSFE (new seller form experience ), has added a lot of limitations whether it be limited DMs, lack of tagging capabilities, and what can and cant be posted about information gathered from CS rep which is now considered confidential.

  14. I expect/hope to see some deals like this through LEGO over Black Friday. Hoping to combine it with GWP. In other deal news. Kroger still has there BOGO 40% off deal, and it is not fixed. So everything is registering 40% off. Combine that with a limitless 10 off 50, 20 off 100, and 30 off 150, and you have a pretty good deal. The 30 comes off of the 150 prior to any of the discounts registering too.

  16. I discovered this site yesterday when I did 2 Google searches: 'Brick Bucks Ignite Scam', 'Brick Bucks Ignite Review'. This appears to be the first legit LEGO investment forum I've discovered so far, I think.

  18. I take it the Tie Bomber isn't original trilogy based and is based one one of these terrible disney plus shows they keep cranking out. Also, it's long past time for them to remake Vaders Tie Fighter also from the original trilogy.

  20. They matched Best Buy, if you want to risk ordering there and if they allows more than 1 per order. Pretty sure it will be store level fulfillment. I did pick it up on Amazon when it first hit and showed it as part of the $10 off $50 promotion (though it didn't show the discount in cart). Took me 45 minutes on the phone and chat to get them to honor it.

  21. Built 40521 Disney Haunted House. It’s a neat building but the set as a whole is pretty plain. I added landscaping and cemetery details to make it look more presentable.

  22. I still have mine from years ago built and proudly on display. It has become rather dusty, and I should do something about that. Then again, that isn't me being lazy. It's realism! Haha. Anyway, it simply is a nice and fun set all around. Only weak point, no Scooby Doo.

  23. Sold my last 10257 Carousel today on Amazon for $593. Picked up 3 of them when Amazon had them on sale for $130 back in 2019. Wish I had grabbed more haha Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

  24. On the Kroger/Fred Meyer sale... Pic of QR code attached. It just takes me to the same coupon I can find on the Kroger App. I don't know if it was this store or a system error, but I was getting a flat 40% off before the extra coupon.
