Today I used a Lego part, https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=bb0219 one of the pieces that holds the train tracks together in the package, as the basis for a replacement part for my the power switch on my coffee grinder. I had to drill out the center with a 1/16" bit and then used my drill as a microlathe to cut off the flange and round the end of the part.

The depth of the buildings would be fine for display on a fireplace or anyplace else with a small shelf space as DadsAFOL mentioned. The facades are fancy enough as a starting point for anyone wishing to stretch these out into more full-sized modular houses. With that said, it could take as many as three purchases of this set to more fully round out the buildings decently. (Maybe even five if you want to completely enclose each structure with a backwall.) The trolley is the most complete build here and is quite nice. Everything here fits together aesthetically. I would like to recreate those buildings minus the winter motif in my own cityscape.

Overall I think it looks nice, but the building front facade look might be too much of a deviation from the full building line we are used to. At a glance, it doesn't look like a facade modular system where you can connect future front buildings to make a real main street. That probably would have been nice to future proof the line.

This was my sentiment too from the very beginning, but I was convinced between modular demand and FOMO, modular collectors would be lining up. I see a potential uptick with this set in a few years as word gets out, supply goes down and the dire need for a Lego store in every town! I will be keeping one for personal collection.
