  1. She's a trooper and likes to keep busy. She still push mows parts of her yard and maintains a huge garden. She goes to exercise 3 days a week, volunteers at the hospital, and is in several community organizations. I have to make appointments to see her. She really stepped it up several notches after my Dad passed away.

  2. Sold a set of the Lego Movie 2 Limited Edition Brickheadz for $380. Crazy to think how much these have gone up. What's even crazier is the buyer is from Brazil and how much he had to pay via the eBay Global Shipping Program. Mind-blowing!!

  3. Not surprised about the Castle. I haven't it even bought it yet. How the heck do you not offer the Forestman GWP with it and also jack up the psychological price point?! They had a really good thing going on with the $300 price point. It worked for Day-1ers like myself and the flippers waiting EOL to buy 10 at a 30-40% discount. The Express at $300 would be an easy Day 1 for me (lower the piece count and just keep the box size big for all I care). I knew these last 5 years were golden and would eventually end soon. I foresee internal costs being cut (there goes the talent), less sets/themes being produced, and the quality of material (including the boxes) dimensioning. I believe they will fight tooth and nail not to discount prices to the very end. Once that transpires, all the bad things above will be set in motion, and 2024 will be a very strange year. F-ing LEGO.

  4. Yeah, but there is the chance that they start to disappear into obscurity and few people are interested. I sold all of my sets a while ago and I'm happy with the $200+ I was getting per set.

  5. Still have one set left after this one and a couple of singles. I'm glad I didn't list them a year or so ago when they were going for about $200 for the set.

  7. I feel you with this. Wife tested positive last Thursday. Knowing I won’t quarantine her off I went and bought a solid supply of groceries. I tested positive on Sunday afternoon. I was literally hitting range balls that morning feeling great, and I wouldn’t have believed it if you told me within 12 hours my fever would be 102 and me down for the count. I’m improving now, but only slowly getting my strength back. It sucks! Get better!

  9. I also believe that it is mentally more difficult to buy a set that has had a price increase. the question is whether the "normal" LEGO fan is aware of the fact that the price has been increased quite significantly in some places.

  11. For me, I don't care enough about a ship that lasted 1+ seasons of a Star Wars show to drop over $500 on it. $200-300? Sure. If Lego is going to charge me $500 for a UCS, it better be something impressive along the lines of a Venator. Outside of a few UCS ships that area going to be larger and command a higher price, I think that $200-250 is a sweet spot like the X-Wings, Y-Wings, Snowspeeders, etc. For the higher price point, give me that large Geonosian Arena, Endor Bunker/Ewok Village type set that is of a grander scale. A single ship that holds little importance (to me at least) is not getting my $500. Bottom line, it's not the money, it's what I feel I'm getting for that money. I have no problem with the price of the ISD or AT-AT, but a similar price for a Razor Crest just doesn't sit well with me. I'll BL the figures and move on.

  12. I have 21 UCS / MBS sets (with the AT-AT on the to-buy list) and a UCS Razor Crest for the pound equivalent of $530 would be a hard pass for me. I don't care, none of the spin-offs have enough history for me to care yet, and I can't see how a set 4x more expensive than the current one could possibly be justified, particularly as a first foray away from the films. Maybe I'm just out of touch.

  13. Started feeling under the weather during the weekend. Felt like the flu, but different. Knew immediately what it was. Took the test Monday. Boom. Covid. Anyway... Thought I'd feel better enough today, but no. Had to sell my tickets for the Dodgers/Mets game this afternoon.. Argh!
