It's only a no-no if you use prime shipping. I don't think Amazon cares otherwise. They get to double dip on the profits. I've used Amazon invoices to dispute lost inventory before. Never had any problems..

It doesn't matter, as long as you don't provide as proof of purchase when amazon asks for the invoice purchase.

Mine was in the Lego shipper and shipped inside a large Amazon box. I didn't even open the Lego shipper, I just placed it on the shelf as is. It arrived in great shape. Ordered in July.

Legs and base for the body is done. The legs are some ingenious creations I have to admit. The insides are sort of Technic with wheels and gear things. When completed , you set the leg bend angle with your funky LEGO built sort of socket driver. No idea when of if this thing is going to or will ever retire but this has winner written all over it. It’s the best LEGO set I have seen in a decade and is rapidly becoming my favourite ever UCS and we have the UCS shuttle and the republic Dropship with shuttle. Would nt advise buying second hand to build. Just the legs have zillions of parts and if you’re missing even one you’re in the poo.

Exactly. I bet some interns with the marketing company that’s running this promotion filled the bags. Lego probably shipped them a few crates of pieces and it was up to them to fill the bags and deal with the problems.

I hide stuff on purpose and then forget about it. That way when I find it, it’s like hidden treasure 🤤

Love to find sets I don’t remember buying. Every year I find a box of stuff that I have no idea how I have them. This is the box from this year.
