  3. As a huge Lego train fan I will say I am super disappointed and not interested in this set at all. For perspective I have every train set from the 10020 Santa Fe era to present, multiples of some, even built two custom 10133 with the yellow and orange swapped(took years of sourcing parts) and many train based city sets including the shed 10027 etc, and yes I know these numbers from memory. So ya I’ve spent some money on trains. I believe most train fans like that they can all be displayed or run together and fit in with standard city sized sets and modular buildings to build large displays and functioning railroads. This set offers little to train fans like myself so unless HP fans are just itching for a huge out of proportion to all other HP sets, train to display it will flop at its price point. It won’t fit in with any other HP village or Hogwarts sets at its scale and the price seems really high, and only 1 carriage whats that. And that steam engine-wheel integration of a couple technic pieces looks like a pathetic afterthought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Not LEGO but, Hasbro. Zavvi UK had the Haslab Razer Crest on sale for around an hour this morning. I grabbed one for my personal collection. I've been half considering getting one off eBay so I'm very happy to pay a reasonable price for one. Just got to hope that the order isn't cancelled now.

  7. I don’t see this as much as a “train set”, but rather the millennium falcon 75192 of the Harry Potter world.

  8. I've started opening large sets as soon as I get them, even if I'm considering selling them. I figure the loss in value from selling them as 'New, opened box' is worth it to make sure I don't get someone else's dodgy return. The fact that LEGO seals the boxes with tape that can be easily opened and resealed doesn't help matters.

  11. I'm already coming up with the mental crap financially sound plan needed to justify purchasing two of these. Buy once they're 20% off for an extra carriage, extend the platform to four full arches, and more track. Sell the train, tender, minifigs, stickers, and instructions.

  15. Well I REALLY got burned this time by vipoutlet and some a-hole scammer! Late last year I purchased the Lego Creator Haunted House NEW condition on sale for $203 for personal build. Stupid me didn't open it immediately to check the contents and I'm finally getting around to building it now for Halloween. My heart just sunk as I dumped the bags out of the box to find BRIGHT colored bricks in non-numbered bags. Even the inner box was nicely sealed with more bright colored bricks... obviously not Haunted House! Any money I thought I was saving by shopping with them was just pissed down the drain on this one set.
