They should have made this regular train scale w/ 2-3 cars and a better train station. At 6 studs and reduced size per car they could have maybe cut the pieces and price to <$400 accordingly. for $500 they will get the die hard HP fans and not much else. Imo they have missed on the last 2 HP D2Cs. First the Owl and books set and now this.

I did 3 submissions all information unique. I had just bought 2 Deloreans last week on the same receipt, so I brought them back and did a return rebuy to get 2 separate receipts dated today. Then picked up 2 Fish Tanks. Not sure if this is the same fulfillment company as the past Walmart promos but on the one with the book they sent out multiples weeks apart I got 2 on 1 order and 3 on the other but none were sent in boxes they just slapped a shipping label on them. Walmart also had those little exclusive all red house sets that came in a box but can’t remember how many of those were made. Looks like It’s a sticker to me and none of the other 4 90 year sets have any stickers AFAIK.

I also saw even though I got the error on the website I received the confirmation e-mails for each submission attempt. I hope this does not cause a similar situation with the LEGO Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3 42143 Book where I made an order early when they allowed more than one per customer which I only ordered one, but they canceled that regardless. Then there was no way to place a follow-up order in time before they ran out as it said I already ordered one. Still sore feelings from that! I myself have not seen any approval on the submission yet.

No experience, but I'd personally think of it this way: $600 is 15% of $4000, roughly the percentage you pay in fees selling on a platform like Ebay. Do you think you could make $4K in sales, and if not how much do you value avoiding the headaches of an online platform like creating listings, shipping, returns, etc. and how much do you think you'd enjoy the experience regardless of what you sell (that's certainly worth something). Don't know where you live but my experience at local conventions is that sets don't seem to fly off the shelves - I know I always see posted prices and assume I could do better online. Seems like one of those potential high risk/high reward scenarios where your success is mostly based on luck - how many people will show up looking to spend money (in an uncertain economy).

Yes, those duels were not what we once thought they were. Years ago, we watched the Star Wars movies in order with my son (from the prequels forward), and I remember during the ep4 duel, my son proclaiming/asking "What's wrong with them??" It wasn't quite as shocking as when he was horrified after watching the Star Trek TV shows, and then watching one of the Star Trek movies and seeing them aged "What happened to Captain Kirk??"
