  1. Built several since my last post. The GB firehouse, Green Grocer, and Assembly Square. Still have a few left, going to take a break from building and start to work on the layout.

  2. Picture quality isn't great - I was mostly worried about how to get the Boat home without damaging it yesterday, but I built the Great Fishing Boat at the beach last week. I really enjoyed building this set. The curved hulls are a bit fragile and I had a few frustrating moments of having to go back and rebuild sections after knocking something off, but otherwise it was a great build and the final product is fantastic. Its sitting next to the Old Fishing Store on a shelf right now, but hoping to build an actual display / MOC. If anyone has seen a good one online, let me know.

  3. Went to SDCC this past weekend with the usual group of friends (neither of them are lego fans but they benefit from me chasing the minifigures / exclusives past few years). Well one of my friends got a new corporate office job and wanted to purchase various knickknacks on the convention floor to add to a few others he had on his new desk! Today I asked him for a photo of his desk collection / display set up so far and got this image as a response LOL. I remember letting him in the line with me the year of Deadpool Duck... and there it is... opened, played with, dusty and displayed. Just a casual $500 desk decoration [emoji28](he has no idea of the value) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. This set was worth the RRP. It looks so good and has excellent detailing all around. I hung it on the wall and so far, it's been steady for four days. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

  6. Just a hello. Started purchasing Lego when the kids became interested. Great activity to build with kids, learn etc. As a kid I didn't have the chance to play with Lego that I can remember. Picked up a some sets of my own that the kids helped build. Nicely displayed. Took a lot of heat from spouse when I rolled in with 75192 - Millennium Falcon. Won't forget that. I tended to purchase Star Wars sets as I was a big SW fan as a kid. Had some Kenner figurines back in the day. Still have many in boxes as I've not found time to prioritize assembling them. Kids are grown up now. The myriad of City, Ninjago, etc. all in pieces around and about in Lego storage containers. Find myself purchasing interesting sets now and again such as the Van Gogh set most recently. Not a collector or investor but given the number of sets I still have in a box my wife thinks otherwise. 🙂 Found this site many years ago. There was a YouTuber I watched that used to compare number of pieces, weight, etc. of sets. Found the economics of it all interesting which had led me here to so many of you that buy, sell, invest. I enjoy the threads, learnings, etc. Perhaps I'll try and sell some sets with kids preparing for college nowadays. Putting others together as well for display. I'll continue to lurk, post where it adds value.
