Last week I was at my inlaws in Michigan and got a Briiiickseek notification about a price drop on the Light Cruiser and Ninjago water dragon at a store close to home, but on the way. I told my wife when we hit the Indiana state line, she was reluctant, but apparently a new Culvers had just opened next door and that would be nice, so I dropped my wife and daughter (who had fell and scraped both her knees the day before and had until this point refused to walk) off for ice cream treats and collected FIVE Light Cruisers at $35, but only one Water Dragon that had been further marked down to $12.50. Seeing this smattering of overstock clearance, I figured there may be more SKUs and discovered the Stuntz Monster Truck Arena was marked down to $8.50. There were easily 12 there, mostly on the top shelf. I bought 6 because my cart was full. But I went back today and got 6 more because no one else figured it out, I guess. Also Tony the Tiger was there for some reason so I got to take him on in PKs:

So musings about the new promo. I presell them each time, get there at open, then pack it in the car and drop it off on the way back to work. Usually there is a line, this time.... crickets. I got there about 5 minutes after it opened and I was the only person in the store the entire time I was there. Not sure if it's the promo, or if its the recession, or both.... but the place was dead. Lego store was out of bags, so they gave me a box. 15 Exclusive Minifigures (no arm or leg printing) for this price is a bargain. I smell $$$ Hopefully this is still available to preorder if and when the Forestmen GWP returns

Over the weekend, I stumbled onto a free Lego craigslist ad that was listed five hours ago in my area. I figured I was too late but sent a nice email anyway with my number. Got a text 15 mins later saying it was mine. It was actually two bags of Lego and I felt so lucky to have been able to snag it. I just ordered the instruction manuals for the 42100 Liebherr for $10 on bricklink. Woohoo!
