  1. LEGO has done an excellent job of marketing and producing quality sets over the past 2-3 years, better than I ever would have though 10 years ago. I truly believe (and know) some LEGO reps used to read our forums and took a lot of our feedback to heart and really started developing sets for adults and did a great job. There are just too many great choices right now it's hard to buy them all. Price increase or not, these current LEGO sets are must haves and people are going to buy them now and on the secondary market for years to come. It's still a great investment.

  2. Consumer virtue signaling at its finest. I’m guessing they’ll take a page out of Walmart+’s playbook and plan to offer the perk to Prime members who spend big $$$ first. Pay to play is now the norm, so why not cash in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. MVRV-Z. It's getting close to green signaling the best time to buy, but it's not there yet. I can post a screenshot of the chart later if I remember. Yeah, I am looking to buy a bunch of one crypto. Waiting for close to the bottom. Like you, it doesn't feel like the bottom is in yet.

  4. IMO its absolutely inexcusable to raise prices 25% in a looming recession given the insane profits they had last year. If they were losing money i could understand but when your making hand over fist profits you gotta absorb most if not all....

  5. Very selfish move if you ask me. Crowing about year after year of increasing profits, have only just had one price jump start of the year. Lego market themselves as a family and customer friendly focused, family run, environmental friendly and wholesome business but this action shows how they are indeed deep down yet another highly uncaring, capitalist venture not just looking for profit but to rinse out every last penny. Shouldn't be surprising as they are a business, but when it's lego just makes it a bit more depressing. Also poor timing with their horrible new instruction booklets (so even with price increases their cutting costs elsewhere by cutting on the ink costs). If they want to charge those prices they can damn well get rid of stickers from the big sets, the stupid colour choices like the continued eyesore blue pins in the fancy Technic sets (I remember when the used to use black ones!). Oh and the colour discrepancies in parts (looking at you dark red). And the crap easy to scratch new window plastics. If they want to be so premium priced they can provide a more premium product. Anyway I think rant over lol

  6. It worked for Whole Foods. Reminds me of another joke (that I'll probably bastardize but here goes anyway.) A man comes across a lamp lying to the side of the road. He picks it up, takes off the top, and naturally a genie pops out telling the man he has three wishes. The man first asks for a ton of money. POOF! A huge pile of cash suddenly appeared in front of them. For his second wish, he wanted a truck big enough to haul the money back home. POOF! A big flashy truck was right there with all the money already sitting in the flatbed conveniently enough. The genie then inquired upon the man's third and final wish to which he replied that he would like to think about it. The genie told the man "Whatever thou last wish be, just say aloud and it shall be done." The genie then vanished. As the man started to make the trip home in his new truck, a familiar friendly jingle began to play on the radio inciting the man to sing along. "Oh, I'd wish to be an Oscar Mayer Wiener!" POOF!
