  2. Yes, Lego has released like our 14th version of this ship but this time we get a Kamineon figure. Let the Army building begin in August 2022. What you could need another Astromech droid too! https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/obi-wan-kenobi-s-jedi-starfighter-75333 I don't actually own a version of this Kenobi Starfighter and at $29.99, I will pick one up eventually, I don't see this selling out soon unless released in really low numbers. Does Lego short pack shipping boxes? Is this version of the starfighter an improvement worth you tossing your earlier versions out the window to see them explode out back? Do you like Kenobi's new hairpiece? Wait, the R4 droid does not actually fit into the ship, only the "head" dome piece attaches? But wait, this version has a little antenna to phone the Jedi Council and has those new stud shooters. awesome!

  4. I think Clone Wars is one of the most epic cartoon series of all time...anything that carries over it's themes into new material will always get support from me. ANyone seriously think the Bad Batch Shuttle set "retires" end of this year?

  6. LEGO Star Wars Scout Trooper Helmet 75305 Collectible Building Kit (471 Pieces) LEGO Star Wars Scout Trooper Helmet 75305 Collectible Building Kit (471 Pieces) (kohls.com) it's 30% off. I know it's not a huge discount but I had some Kohls cash and some cashback a rakuten for a new user, so just went for it, since it's rumored to be retired in 2022.

  7. Kind of surprised at all the negativity on this set. I thought the original was outstanding. The final product definitely has some questionable modifications that detract at first glance, but I still like it as a whole. On a side note, is the (1-4) bubble on the bottom right of the box a new thing to suggest support for multiple builders? That's a welcome addition to show which sets support multiple builders.

  8. Not sure why but this immediately came to mind after seeing that nightmare inducing lego box.

  9. Disney and Lego collaborating again? This pre-order to ship on August 1st appears to be related to the new Disney + Cassius Andor series we have hear much about but seen very little material of so far. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/ambush-on-ferrix-75338 This $69.99 (ouch!) set includes a small ship or shuttle aka "Mobile Tac-Pod", a speeder bike and three figures. Not having seen any film or digital print material so far, there is not much to judge the set on. Cassius reminds me of Joe Dirt, I prefer the Rogue One versions released for far. The ship does look very cool with the slightly inset engines and non-speedy looking lines I would expect from anything flying off the ground in pursuit. We don't currently know the other two characters but the guy in the uniform looks like he should be with a Bespin Cloud City set. The other could be Beckett from Solo or at least had been released with the Nest speeder bike set. Maybe some previews will leak out now that SW Celebration is over. I want to believe this will be a gritty pre-rebellion series but just don't have high expectations.

  10. Kenobi series sets are showing for pre-order now. This one ships on 1 August if we are to still trust the web store after the switcheroo with Mando's new hot rod. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/inquisitor-transport-scythe-75336 This $99.99 star ship plus for figures set looks very First Orderly. I expected to see Kylo Ren pilot it. We get the Grand Inquisitor, Reva and 5th Brother plus "beaten down in a groundhog day-like life" Ben Kenobi. Lego appears to have captured the preview scene of Inquisitors coming down a front ramp well, albeit the scale is off as expected until it is in UCS form. I'm sold on the series, I don't want to buy any more Legos because I am out of display space but I will probably grab it up when a deal comes along.

  11. Agree 100% Lego is hellbent on approving ideas sets that showcase the lego system's versatility. The less lego like it looks the higher odds lego approves it. Ugly. And the drummer looks like a sailor to me

  14. I’ll buy it because I collect all of the ideas sets but this has got to be the most boring set in the entire ideas collection…

  15. Love the converter story. Here's mine: one day back in the 80's, my father told me to get into the car. We went to a video rental store. He said, "you can rent as many video games as you want today." I must have rented at least 30 games, it was crazy. The next weekend the FBI raided that store for selling illegal converters, the store shutdown, and I got to keep all those video games. I've told that story a million times, then someone finally asked, "do you think it was your dad that called the FBI?" 😬
