my naturally paranoid mind assumes these pending orders are being placed by competitors using non-workable payment options to tie up my inventory. most people placing an order when there is a payment issue are going to get the problem solved so they can actually get the item they bought. this seems to happen more frequently with lower seller count sets when i have only 1 item listed for sale so i could be right and i could be paranoid simultaneously. after waiting a couple of days, i have been successful at getting the order cancelled on multiple occasions by sending cs message about the order number saying that i think a competitor is tying up my inventory and could they please cancel the order so I can sell the product to an amazon customer. usually the order is cancelled within an hour.3 points

This reply might be a little late but I was having the same problem with in app approvals. I had to go through my selling applications on the website and resubmit for the approval to reflect on my account. I was then able to list after a couple minutes.1 point

Interesting situation i've noticed lately. There are 2 seller accounts that are flooding a bunch of listings ("i-Deals store" and "Deep_Discount_Entertainment"). They don't seem to be hitting the Lego listings yet, but lots of other toys. When you click their storefront info, they both have the same address in Florida. If you google the address, it comes up as "Alliance Entertainment Corporation," which is a large distributor that used to focus on DVDs/CDs and other media. I know when I worked retail, they used to supply us with the new release countertop DVDs. I know they have started getting into toys and collectibles recently because I recall being solicited by one of their salespeople who used to be my rep with another distributor. On some listings, they will just immediately tank prices to MSRP on new release items with seemingly no regard for Amazon fees. On other items, they will price at normal, competitive secondary market prices. On some listings, both of these seller accounts will be on the listing at totally different prices. I just thought this was interesting and i'm not sure there is anything shady going on, but I thought you needed a good reason to have a 2nd seller account. I didn't think you were supposed to be selling the same products on your second seller account. Here is an example where both sellers are on the listing at the same time: https://www.amazon.com/Mega-GNY53-Construx-Fighter-Jet/dp/B07YT7PN5T1 point

That's always me right before the raffle ends.1 point

That used to be the case, now I think it’s a combination of inventory delayed in FC transfer and getting the warehouse to timely fulfill orders. I’m waiting a week for some of the household items we order on our Prime family account to even be marked as shipped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

For rumors looks like may 4 gwp may be three things all at different price points and some in store only 1) the Luke blue milk poly and 2) possibly another poly mini build and 3) be either a jabba palace build gwp or others say a obiwan lightsaber gwp with $160 purchase https://toysdaily.wiki/lego-star-wars-jabbas-palace-gwp-rumoured-for-may-in-2022/1 point

I guess youre referencing my presale of castle in forests. Yes, it was probably unwise. My calculus was that theyre not high value items and i have direct receipts for them (at least 5 of them) but yeah, im gunna tread more lightly after seeing that 2.5M seller KO'd with no possibility of readmission.1 point

I was permanently banned 2 years ago after selling some expensive coins (all PCGS verified). They also banned my family members by association. (seller accounts, I could still buy) Called/emailed/chatted about 100 times over 2 years with zero luck. Its a back office with no way to reach I was told. Then one day I found a sympathethic rep who agreed to email the back office on my behalf. A few days later I received an email from said office saying they couldnt let me back on. Emailed them back quickly with my arguments, and a few hours later they let me back on! Lesson is, be persistent.1 point

43184 (Raya and the Sisu Dragon) on sale for $21 to stack with that deal. Some Baseplates are below MSRP, but I can't say I watch close enough to differentiate perma-sale pricing.1 point

Lucked out with OfferUp today. Was able to pick up a "used" (and I use this term lightly, because it looks brand new), built Daily Bugle. Complete, everything is there, all minifigs, for $200. Quite excited to have picked this up. Didn't realize how tall it is!1 point

I thought this was pretty funny, usually it's the AT-AT and Titanic at too good to be true discounts along with PS5s and OLED Switches, but today its... Pet Shop for... twice as much as Amazon? Wild. Kind of want to message them to make fun of them.1 point

if you have the customer scan the qr code on either app it actually gives proof of transaction to them at that physical location that it happened at. Had a chargeback on a paypal facebook year or so ago and was covered right away. Said they could see the transaction took place between 2 phones at a certain location. Closed it out in my favor. Turned out the customer just didn't remember anyways but they sided right away. Kinda cool to know and was another reason they rolled that out to avoid people saying they didn't get anything.1 point

Are people that stupid? I mean Venmo /paypal both still have a refund option...so anyone that does PP F&F or some other non-recoverable option is just asking for it, IMO.1 point

I've been seeing this a lot on OfferUp with the usual suspect sets: titanic, at-at, milf... For hundreds less that retail typically on accounts created just this month, almost all are also selling some other hard to find thing like PS5 and XBox. Almost always available for shipping, too.1 point

Many times people list stuff low on FB Marketplace hoping the buyer will send them Venmo or PayPal payments, then they disappear.1 point

also there's a real danger aspect when it's a local deal for such high priced items if cash is involved. IN this case, the OP already noted likely scam; but given other info such as the big set (not offered in Target/Walmart) so likely not stolen in the traditional sense (very unlikely they stole it from a LEGO store); local deal so not a CC fraud scam, priced too low for employee discounts, gotta wonder what the "play" is.1 point

Good to know. I've had a seller do that with a high end toy before. Only other seller and everytime I list it he buys it and ties it up for 2 weeks then the order cancels and I have to relist and he does it again. Really annoying.0 points

I am getting drunk, listening to music and remembering my brother-in-law who lost his fight to bowel cancer at the weekend. My sister and I lost our own father at 11 and 9 and her kids are 12 and 8... a repeat in history we could have done without! Enjoy your family and enjoy every second x0 points
