Started moving some things into my new Brick Shack....

Spring time & kitten season has arrived. Picked up new fosters. Mama and 5 week old kits. All boys! She got them nested in the closet before I could clear out all the lego. Will have them about 8 weeks. Been fostering 13 years, never took in this many at once. Should be fun.

i sure hope this doesn't end. getting discounts now on pretty much every item unless its going under 400 miles. this one seemed particularly juicy going to ID from the east coast. almost like a $5 scratcher now seeing how much off i'm going to get on shipping. almost.

target sales ad for tomorrow shows a BOGO 40% off on Classic, Friends, Harry Potter, Speed champions. the ad says selected sets but the fine print seems to indicate that it is by theme. https://weeklyad.target.com/promotions?code=Target-20220403&page=10 will be interesting to see if any sets are on sale before the bogo. 5% red card and any gc deals on house products to sweeten.

Put the final coat on the floor. I can start moving my collection into my new Lego building in the morning.

Looks like 42107 Ducati has been extended (again) to 2023.

If I had to take a guess, the ad designer probably lifted the Bricklink logo and slapped it on those ads. I’m sure they have nothing to with the listings.

Long ago I added 'Profit per cubic foot' to my spreadsheet. And adjusted my buying accordingly.

Not just time, space and ease of shipping as well. After being in this game for two years as a seller, I've been looking at my data more closely this year to really focus on the money makers taking into consideration various factors. I found that I used my heart and gut feel more than hard numbers in the past. I'm now at the stage where I've had enough time to 'age' good number of sets and would like to be more selective on the sets I buy moving forward to focus on winning themes. Where I live, star wars, Technic, Harry Potter, creator expert, speed champs continue to be top performing themes. Architecture, Brickheadz and Ideas have good returns but volume is way too low. I tried going into Minecraft and Friends but it didn't really work out.

I am getting drunk, listening to music and remembering my brother-in-law who lost his fight to bowel cancer at the weekend. My sister and I lost our own father at 11 and 9 and her kids are 12 and 8... a repeat in history we could have done without! Enjoy your family and enjoy every second x
